Thanks Ian, that's a massive help, i am trying to do my first loco re-spray and couldn't find the correct colour keep up the good work P.S. was the water that you used for the transfers cold or slightly warm, I was advised to use slightly warm water but had no success thanks Pete

Picture of all 4 warehouses roughly in place, just needing painting Bit more ballasting done and some more rail rusting done
-
I ordered a paint pen from ebay to test as rail weathering/rust, i think it works great, nice and easy to apply as well, Let me know what you think, Happy moddling Pete

The motors i ordered for china for the 37 and the 59’s have arrived, yay, Going to print some spacers/adapters for them to fit into the old ringfield housing instead of gluing them, i have also reicieved the replacement gears as well as the are 2mm bore instead of 3mm iirc Will put photo’s up as i progress I am also hoping to make my own transfers for the europhoenix liveries as they are rather expensive per set If anyone has any advice or tips for doing this it would be greatly appreciated I am now up to 3 low relief warehouses for the back of the layout im thinking just one more will do I am also making a road over bridge with shops etc to the far end of the layout (looking at the photo from the OP) I also hope to finish painting the three above bodies tomorrow all being well Cheers for looking Pete

Apollogies for the rotation of some of the photo’s the uploader decided to flip them “doh”
-
So i had a layout in N gauge and grew bored of the miniscule scenary and inability to get what i wanted , and so i destroyed it and repurposed it into a OO gauge layout that i could do more with. For starters this is a ficticious layout and will portray my fascination with the Europhoenix livery attatched are pics of the before and after repurposing and a couple of the progress of some loco’s i am rebranding oh and some 3D printed low relief warehouses (if the pictures work) i hope some will find this interesting and if you dont then to each their own, all the best with your modeling endevours Pete

Removing printed decals with Sharpie permanent markers
PDBV replied to Downendian's topic in Weathering, Painting & Transfers
to all on this thread, if you use this method and then wish to easily remove the ink, simply go over the ink with a dry wipe marker (white board marker) and it will wipe off -
Thats a nice touch, works well
