I think that has been discussed on the other thread There are some differences in boiler/smokebox between the two, the L is a bit bigger than the K.

Hire cars are generally supplied by the repairers, so if your insurers are not repairing it, then probably not. If they have written it off, then you are buying back the salvage. It depends on the category of write off (can't remember what they are now, they changed them a few years ago), but if your car is repairable, but it would just cost your insurer too much to repair, then you buy back the salvage and have it repaired privately. You will probably need a new MOT afterwards before they will reinsure it. If however it is deemed structurally unsound, or so badly damaged that it cannot be made roadworthy again, then it will have to be scrapped. It's a pain having to deal with this, but good luck.

This picture on Flickr by Mike Taylor is dated December 1974. Track had gone by then, and building was demolished presumably early 1975.

I agree, TT120 will be of great use to those of us who model narrow gauge in H0 (and 00 for that matter). The video shows them spraying over the glass. This is not a part finished bodyshell, it's a fully fitted out bus they are repainting. It doesn't make sense what they are doing in that video. When I was growing up, my dad worked for Ribble Motors in Preston, and they used to respray their own buses. Except that they masked off all the windows/lights/metal trim etc before they got the spray guns out. It probably did take 15 minutes to paint a double decker, but probably about 3 or 4 hours to mask it up first!

The shape of the cab & bonnet suggests it is a Thomas Hill (Rotherham) product, but I don't know exactly which one. I remember those rails, they used to cross Fishwick View at an angle, then disappeared under somebody's front garden. I had a mate who used to live in Walton View near there & you crossed the track to get to his house.
