  1. Railtec do the BR Early Crest in 4mm scale. https://railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2126 I'm sure if you ask him nicely, Steve will produce them in TT:120 as well.
  2. Prentice Brothers were a chemical manufacturers based in Stowmarket. Taken over in 1929 by what later became Fisons. Graces Guide has details HERE.
  3. Yes, it is. I was reading E169 from my reference, don't know why I typed E159. I have now corrected it.
  4. That is a Baldwin from the Ponferrada - Villablino line in Northern Spain. https://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/tales/lythgoe24.htm Sorry, no ideas on the other two.
  5. At the moment it is, but who knows what will happen in 3/5/10 years time? When Simon Kohler has been asked that question, he has not ruled out selling through retailers at some point in the future, just not at the moment.
  6. Try Tramfabriek . They do a range of couplings with longer shanks (hook only), or the Centre Point couplings, although they appear to be out of stock at the moment.
  7. I have never returned anything to Hornby for repair, but if they are only selling TT direct, they wouldn't need to ask for proof of purchase, because they would be able to see from their records who bought what & when. Whether Hornby would still repair something that is secondhand (to you), that I don't know.
  8. I can't help with exact dates or locations of any of these, but I have managed to find some info on the locos. Belgian type 51. Not much found about his one. The Mines de Crespin were in northern France, close to the Belgian border, which probably explains why they ordered Belgian locos. I agree with pH, that looks like number 4 on the cabside. There is some info here : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compagnie_des_mines_de_Crespin about the mine, but no closure date. Cail & Cie 1705. I think that is actually 1706, not 1705. They were a pair of locos built for La compañía del Ferrocarril de Almansa a Valencia y Tarragona (AVT). Cail & Cie of Paris exported some locos to Spain in 1857. Cail & Cie ceased trading in 1870. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Société_J._F._Cail_%26_Cie 1706 is the number allocated by its later owner Norte. It went on to become RENFE 030-2003 in 1947 https://trenesytiempos.blogspot.com/2020/05/la-traccion-vapor-en-renfe-x-unas-mamut.html?fbclid=IwAR1IUhv2JMtS8uCZbGAtxDjpng-zS2OFQ2lAc1KfFt3H8rFeb3-ja5UuCqk This would suggest your photo is from before 1947 (or at least, before RENFE renumbered it). 0-4-4-0 Tank E169. That is definitely Portugal. The 'CP' on the bufferbeam stands for 'Companhia dos Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses.' E169 was from a batch of Mallet 0-4-4-0T built by Henschel in 1908. It was still running in 1960, but I don't know when it was withdrawn. (info from 'Steam on the Sierra' Allen & Wheeler. Cleaver Hume Press, London 1960). I hope this is some help.
  9. Checking stockists on Hornby's own website, they are listed as Blue Flame Energy, address Unit 6, Ellesmere Business Park, Oswerstry Road, , Ellesmere, SY12 0EW. Email is seniorsales<at>hotmail.com. Like you I have never heard of them, but they would appear to genuinely be a Hornby stockist.
  10. It is the back of a crane. If you zoom in on the original photo on Flickr you can just make out 'Cowans Sheldon' in the top of the yellow panel. Probably a similar crane to this one, photographed in Workington c.1975
  11. Yes, that is what I meant. The 15% only applies to UK TT Club sales AFAIK.
  12. That discount only shows on the checkout page, if you are logged in. It doesn't apply to any Hornby International brands, as far as I know. (I have recently ordered TT:120 track and got the 15% off, but a subsequent order for an Arnold TT Kof didn't give the discount.)
  13. Wizard Models have just had a Markits/Romfords delivery: https://www.wizardmodels.ltd/shop/wheels/wh205a/
  14. According to this website, 1976 & 77. Definitely a Hornby product, 1973 seems to be the year they droppped the 'Triang' bit of the name. Sorry but I don't know of any replacement wheels.
  15. When Hornby were at the Warley Show, the two locos they had running on their display layout were the A1 & the 08, so the 08's have been ready for production for some time before Warley. Not that this is any guarantee, but given there were fully finished models of the 08 on their stand, it makes sense the 08's are already in production. They may not be here in the UK yet, but I hope we should see them sooner rather than later.
  16. Yes it was. Earlier thread HERE although sadly lacking photos. Preston Docks ended up with 7 of the 18 or so built, although not all delivered in one order. There is one of the ex Preston Docks locos preserved, B2682 'Princess' which is on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. There is a Bagnall 16" loco at Ribble Steam Railway in Preston masquerading as Preston Docks 'Courageous,' but it's actually an ex NCB loco. Details here. https://ribblesteam.org.uk/exhibits/steam/bagnall-2680-1942-birchenwood-no-4/
  17. I have noticed that too, but I have also seen it happen on another forum that uses the same software. I think this may be an Invision software issue rather than an RMWeb one. As Andy says, probably best to see whether the upcoming software update fixes it.
  18. Not perhaps those exact models, but there are some Triang conversions on the project page of GWR.org http://www.gwr.org.uk/project.html
  19. Perhaps the 'sufficient demand' has already reached the level where it is worth their while. I for one would welcome a 'Local goods' type set with an 08 in it, and good to know it's likely to be a green one.
  20. Bachmann USA is still listing the models https://shop.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=756_772_975 which if the license had been revoked they wouldn't be allowed to do. So I suspect it's just gossip and not true. I can't see it being true, because Bachmann hold almost all the worldwide rights to Thomas electric trains (except Japan Tomy/Tomix). Who else would be in the position to take over manufacturing a Thomas range?
  21. Yes, just checked mine, it does have traction tyres. I think all the Hornby ringfield diesels of that vintage had them.
  22. I'm now getting a similar thing. In this 'forum issues' topic, I get the right hand panel, plus a Warners banner ad across the bottom of the page. But, if I'm in View New Content, I get the banner add plus ads in the right hand column. I'm using Windows 10/Firefox browser.
  23. Hornby have a long standing arrangement with their wholesaler in Australia (SMS I believe), and TT120 was always going be distributed through their existing wholesale route, so yes, you can buy TT120 through retail outlets in Australia, just not in the rest of the world.
  24. It was a swap between CIE & Vic Berrys for some ex BR Mk2's that CIE wanted. Irish Railway Models has the history here: https://irishrailwaymodels.co.uk/blogs/news/orange-is-the-new-black-iconic-mark-2b-and-2c-coaches-announced
