  1. Still no show on the new Intentio gates and post. If it ever arrived it will be after Christmas now 🥵 31465 back from sound install.
  2. Not much more done on the yard. Painted additional cork inlay, still waiting for Royal Mail to shake a leg and deliver my gate post ordered a while ago now from Intentio. Added some wood bracing to add some linked strip lights I saw on Chris’s excellent Swindleton layout, I had to visit three different toolstations stores around the region to get the lights I wanted.
  3. Hi Ade, Visiting my Mum before Christmas gave me the chance to nip to Cheltenham Model Centre saw this book and picture on Malmesbury in it, wondered if you had seen it.
  4. I have rejigged the original fencing to allow for a new swinging gate to be added to the new siding. This is currently in the postal system somewhere, all I need is the gate post which I could not locate in the railway room.
  5. A couple of shots with the shed in. Das clay on the added siding has had one coat of paint, some static grass to be added in places. An additional gate has been ordered from intentio.
  6. Hi Chris, Went back and had a catch up on your thread, especially interested in the Toolstation lights that link together have you got a some more detsils on them such as product number etc? The storage boxes too as I have some TTAs I built from Skytrex thst need safe secure storage they look just the thing. Great layout by the way Regards Julian.
  7. Granddaughter wanted a go on the trains so we tested to make sure the track gauge is correct.
  8. Those front windows look deeper than an earlier picture posted on here. Very nice indeed. Anyway it looks like a 58 to me, I think the Mainline Blue one is the first one for me!!
  9. Was there a display sample on view at Warley? Regards Julian.
  10. Track in and covered with cork inlay, das clay used on the sides. Undecided how to fill remaining section to traverser, cork inlay or ballast. 🤔
  11. Other tracks cut to length. Wires to be soldered to track and bus wire, then tack track down and in fill.
  12. Finally started a bit of work to put another track into the yard. I built this micro/Diorama during the dreaded lock down period using anything I had to hand it was originally just a programming track. Thought being I can shunt wagons from the shed when unloaded to the second siding to be loaded. This will involve wagons being taken off scene onto the traverser and brought back on scene.
  13. Fantastic news was really hoping the new announcement would be a Class 58. Cant wait until DPD knock on my door next year/24 with a big box!!
  14. Called in to the Yorkshire Wolds Railway (YWR) on the way back home from a site I visited outside York on Wednesday. Most work had ceased that day because of the torrential rain so took a snap of progress on the brake van and our loco under going maintenance. Unfortunately the site suffered a break in on Friday, some tools stolen out the van with all locks sawed off 🤬
  15. Being that close to the water tower, could it be a pump house? Cheers Julian.
  16. Is this the same building Ade? But looks to be taken at an earlier date, is that a water feed through the roof? The picture you put on is that from the Wild Swan book?
  17. A fantastic rule, wide enough to fit in any loco you desire!!😬😀🤭
  18. Hi Ade, Frustrating when you cant get the info you need, being a wooden structure would it be ash? There looks to be big lumps in the pile, blocks of wood maybe?
  19. Hi Ade, Il get to Warley one day but I know I will need a bulging wallet to take the hit!! 😬
  20. Hi Al, Thanks, Yes 31465, strange both ends, but that seems to the most plausible reason. They also had 31602 I think?
  21. Excellent Ade, love the layout and how its progressing. 45 sounds great. Regards Julian.
  22. Well an early Christmas pressie too….. myself… damn Hattons O gauge sale 🤥. A bit of work to do on this, not sure why two of the front footsteps were plated over at each end, does anyone know?? I will follow suit, then fit sound, driver then weather.
