That's a Hornby 142 GMP livery that was untested with one smashed front end sold on Ebay for £45+ tonight. IMO bonkers but the demand is there.

Have Hornby made noises about releasing a 142 again? How quickly will depend on if they've found the original tooling mould? Agree it will sell well as both budget and high spec.

Wonderful news I'm in for one or two of the provincial units regardless of Hornby finding the original tooling and gatecrashing this. Also would be in for a Orange GMPTE also if this happens in the future.

Kat, this is looking amazing. Sadly I've recently lost my family connection with area. Was brought up in Parbold, have many a happy memory waiting on Wallgate waiting for my train home whilst watching various trains thunder across the West Coast mainline. Just got back into the hobby, I've done an 8 x 4 board and am starting to plan something much bigger. I'm going to model both Wigan stations and model Parbold station also, set in the late 1980s, it's going to be a rather large project! I am lucky to have the space. The Wigan aspect won't be any where the detail you've created though! Keep up the good work. :)

Just got an email update from Hattons saying the Scotrail Mk3 arrival estimate from Oxford is Jan-Mar 2019. No idea how accurate that can be though.
