  1. We (Redruth MRC) are embarking on a huge project to bring ‘Reading’ to exhibitions. We purchased this fantastic layout and want to run the trains using block sections and route setting. James at DCC Train Automation plus David and the McKinley Team plus Iain (we met them all at the recent Southampton Show) have been a great help. We have just purchased Roco Z21 plus some mp1 point motors and a Yamorc YD8116 switch decoder and Yamorc YD6016 sensor. We are going to set up a short section of track with a couple of 4 aspect signals and learn the system. We too are on a steep learning curve!
  2. I have received excellent customer service from Simon concerning a lighting problem on my 37026. The problem that I had has been fully resolved. I cannot fault him and the team at Accurascale for their fast response and for sorting things out for me.
  3. Hi NTrains Yes, I received an email and have paid.
  4. I used the support contact on the site earlier this week and had very quick responses from Simon. Also I had excellent service.
  5. Happy Christmas to all on this thread. I am an unabashed Accurascale class 37 fan!
  6. Merry Christmas guys. Keep up the great work.
  7. I am a very happy man. I have been waiting for the unbranded ones and didn’t fancy debranding ECC models. They’ll look good on my layout ‘Carlyon Dock’
  8. Brilliant choice. I’ve had the transfers to do this for years and never plucked up the courage to do it. I’ve had this unit for haulage from Crewe to St Austell via the Marches in the early 2000s.
  9. I have just received confirmation from Accurascale to NOT use feedback controllers.
  10. Hi Redkiterail You may be onto something. The rolling road has a non feedback controller. However, I am pretty sure that Accurascale locos are OK with feedbacks. Can anyone confirm?
  11. Hi GordonC Yes the dip switches are set correctly. However, upon purchase, they weren’t. I tested it on my DC rolling road and all was OK. I put on my DC layout and the lights didn’t work. Took it back to the rolling road and the lights were no longer working. I checked the dip switches and they were set to non ESU decoder. I set the dip switches correctly and the lights still don’t work. The cautionary tale is check the dip switches before you do anything!
  12. Hi SR man Thanks for the info. I am running it on pure DC with Gaugemaster feedback controllers. I am wondering whether I should fit a decoder at our Model Railway Club to see if the lights work then.
  13. My 37026 still has no lights working on DC. When I bought it on ebay the lights were working. I know that I can’t return it for repair. Therefore, I need to understand how to fix the problem. Has anyone had a similar problem and, if so, how have you fixed it?
  14. As seen on Oak Road at Taunton Show today. Sounding great.
  15. Just purchased 37605 and 37606. They are both stunning models and look great pulling flasks - 37605 on Bachy FNAs and 37606 on the KUAs. I immediately checked the light switch position for both locos and found that they are factory set to ‘For operation with a non ESU decoder’. My experience with 37026 led to me to switch 1-4 off and 5-6 on. The locos ran faultlessly on Gaugemaster DC (with feedback) on our Club test track. Salutary lesson - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. I am thinking that I’ll need to buy a spare circuit board for 37026 to get the lights working again. Anyway, apart from me being a complete numpty, I am very happy with my Accurascale class 37 fleet. Andrew
  16. Hi farren Switches 1-4 are off and 5&6 are fully on. The photo has shadows which make it look like switches 5&6 are half on. I am now a tad worried about running my locos on my DC layout and our Club layouts. I love the models and they are, in my opinion, the best 37 by far. I would love to find out if there is a problem with the lighting and Gaugemaster DC controllers.
  17. I have 37026 and all of the lights have stopped working on DC. I have 6 Accurascale 37s and found that 3 of mine (37026, 37409 and 97301) had the dip switches set to the ‘For operation with a non ESU decoder’ at purchase. I use Gaugemaster handheld feedback DC controllers. When the lights on 37026 stopped, I set the dip switches to ‘For operation with the DCC blanking plate’ position. The lights on 37409 and 97301 still work but not on 37026. I attach a photo. I have swapped the blanking plug but still the lights on 37026 don’t work. As the loco is an eBay purchase, I can’t return it to Accurascale. Does anyone have any thoughts? Regards, Andrew

  19. This is the cover. It was made by Locomaster Profiles.
  20. Just now watching ‘Fall and Rise of the 50s’ and enjoying D400/D433 on the Midland Scotsman to Glasgow on 5 Feb ‘94. That would be worth modelling!
  21. I keep being reprimanded for this and I keep forgetting! Andrew
  22. There’s a Western and blood/custard stock on the up fast too!😀😀
  23. That’s brilliant to read. You will be producing the truly definitive models. I am so excited to see them. Will be ideal for our (Redruth MRC) Reading layout.
