I would ask any readers to follow the due processes rather than asking on here what will happen to their order etc. – there are real people involved with hardships; please bear that in mind.

Bring on the 'what about my blah blah blah' anyway, people wont read anything and expect it handed to them even when its right in front of them

A sad loss, they were the only big UK retailer who made buying items from Ireland painless after the 'B' thing, being registered for VAT in Ireland, my last order arrived last week after being placed in the early hours of Christmas Morning and always got items within days and not weeks. Efficiency was as good as their prices

I must say that if I have anything negative to say about the product, I’ll contact support first rather that bad-mouth about it all on here. If I ever got a bad response from a manufacturer then maybe, but there hasn’t been in this case or in any case so far. Far from it!

Naturally - but people just have to get their opinion out there, whether it is good, bad or just un-necessary.

  5. Warley's definitely lost its shine, just not what it once was. I think the icing on the cake was one of the ever helpful Warley stewards walking around just after 3pm on Sunday taking away the stand numbers at the back of the hall - made navigating around all of the smaller stands impossible, hard to get your bearings. All for the sake of saving a few A4 laminated sheets for next year. Not like they were made out of reinforced titanium

Lets see what April 24 brings, same venue, different organisers

Personally, I find tagging distasteful in posts such as this, especially in an ‘out of hours’ situation: a tag should be used as a personal reply to a posted question, or an expression of interest in a subject. It’s a question of respect really.

As has been pointed out, the latest updates can be found on the website. If a situation changes, then Social Media/Forum will be notified and the website updated with the new information.

There is no exhibition magazine/guide this year. Nobody was prepared to volunteer to put it together so no guide. Putting the guide together is quite a big job. There will a plan and stand list on sale.

Surprised and not surprised really, like a lot of model railway show organisational tasks it is a thankless one, especially when you are relying on other people. Lets see if its missed

Hang on, is there such a thing as a bad controller? As far as I can tell no one has said they're using a fifty year old H&M or Marshall set up. Is it unreasonable to suggest that rtr models should work with a range of controllers in common use today?

Would you expect to be able to charge your IPhone 14 with a 1980s/1990s Ericsson or Motorola charger though? Same as hooking up a PS5 / Xbox Series X to that old reliable Ferguson TV Set thats been part of the family since 1985..... Just doesnt happen these days. New technology requires new supporting technology, its as simple as that

I can concur that some 50s always seemed to perform, whereas others were hit and miss. For me, 50042 and 50046 were consistently fast.

Presumably an effect of the lens or angle the photo was taken, but both the headlight and foot hold appear to be off centre and the latter crooked!

This is the 'dented' end of 50033 where an unfortunate person was hit on the line, it was re-panelled when the Fifty Fund took it on long term loan, along with replacing the grabrails at the other end that 50033 had lost. The pre-stressed metal over a frame meant the panels were easily dented by contact

But tbh… I kind of like the 40 in those liveries (well RR needs the blue stripe tone fixing)… but 40199 has an air of credible… maybe with a class 66 sound chip

    😀

There were 199 TOPS Class 40's, as D322 was written off in the mid 60's, hence the pioneer D200 becoming 40122

I dont know, KR were desperate to sell off GT3's in fictitious liveries and are developing more of them for some reason, even after the others didnt sell.

Perhaps leave the mainstream models to the more established, professional manufacturers and stick with more niche models - oh wait they struggle with those too

Having just Googled the product name to findout what was meant by EOT, these appear to be modern BR style tail lamps. There are no EOT devices like in the US in use in the UK, over here we only have tail lamps.

In the BR era, I don't think you'd need a lamp as Southern Region stock was permitted to run with the blinds wound round to red, as shown here on this Flickr link

TDB 975025 May 1986 copyright PWS collection 2019

That might save you a job and save a tail lamp for another project.

    Jo

Exactly 33's 71's 73's and all of the older SR EMU/DEMU stock were the same, back when the 'Regions' might aswell have been considered totally separate - interesting that the 33 is taller than the saloon in this photo too

I've changed the decoder from the Lais to an Imperium 1. Despite them apparently being the same decoder, the step lights and search lights now work! I'll now have to try to get the tail lamps working.

As for the flickering, has anyone fitted a stay alive to Caroline?

Ill be fitting a Rails/DCC Concepts chip later that has the built in stay alive, purely as I have some available

i’m a bit confused how KR are judging people who ask questions on Facebook about whether they are a customer when KR models products are available through retailers as well? Surely it’s not unreasonable to for someone who has ordered through a retailer to ask KR a question direct on Facebook?

You are better off asking questions here as the slightest hint of negativity/critique on facebook sees you blocked from their facebook page.

At least kr models (pronounced modellls) isnt in direct control of what is posted here
