  1. See above - due doesnt necessarily mean arrived........
  2. And onto Terra Firma Original Photos - Hugh Searle
  3. when 59101 was delivered it was tied down onto the deck of the ship as 'deck cargo' rather than placed into the hold of the ship unlike 59102-4, 59101 went on top of the hold cover while the other 3 were underneath. 59101 was heavily sheeted too, as the ship they were on was quite small compared to most ocean going vessels I'm guessing like many 66's they have had the tiedown eyes removed for different reasons, access etc Original Photos - Hugh Searle
  4. Not many bits of 006 around, have seen a number panel and nameplates
  5. Finally got mine - apart from 1 bearing cap falling off nothing else yet......... - the workbench beckons
  6. None wore Large Logo Blue pre refurb, and the 1st 6 left Doncaster Works after refurb in 'standard' BR Blue, 50023 being the first in Large Logo Blue and the rest followed in LLB
  7. Or just colour in the sides of the PCB with a black marker 😉
  8. 'Ta Siad Ag Teacht' More Celts are travelling.......
  9. Exactly as per the photo, down to the finest detail right??
  10. End of the day when dealing with the Chinese you have to be absolutely watertight contractually or your screwed given their lax approach/care relating to IP ownership
  11. Almost there - did the etched plates you fitted include a worksplate?? 59001-4 have the older style ones fitted
  12. Goodness no - One is purpose recorded off the genuine loco, one is 'library recordings' recorded off the loco it was based upon (based on another continent) , but without the massive silencer and a few other things. Like saying every car with a Rover V8 engine sounds the same - they dont, even with standard exhausts....
  13. Roads and Rails sounds is not a 59 though, upcycled SD40 noises
  14. Could be worse, could buy many and constantly brag about it and post loads of photos on here when there is no demand for that kind of thing
  15. Legoman chips sound better plus a few more options than Dapol 'factory' sound - this one also has a sugarcube, the same as the one in the video
  16. The other end - no, they are the famous slats, like an old xpelair kitchen fan, and an ideal way to lose a finger or two, they used to pop open/closed depending on the thermostat, but this wasnt reliable and you can manually open/close them The end closer to the camera housed the electronics, a lot of which was removed in the refurbishment, so not sure if access from outside was needed anymore, but any major repair work I've seen lately has seen the items craned in/out from above
  17. They were running for nearly a year before being 'officially' launched, wouldnt happen today!
  18. Dapol would be foolish to have the Hanson livery confined to one retailer only, then again in the new batch the revised ARC and the MRL liveries only made it onto one loco each in reality.... Not too many 'unique' locos in a fleet of 15
  19. Not a problem and you are welcome 👍, only 59001-4 had these, 005 onwards had the later one
  20. Can spot a wee error with the 59/0's - they should have the older style 'Electro Motive' worksplates and not the newer one as seen on later 59's and EWS 66's Like so, best quick pic I could find
  21. Entertainment trying to be Panorama, or Panorama masquerading as Entertainment....
  22. More scripted adlibs and set scenes. Or will this be a true behind the scenes series, with all the things that go wrong and miss the QC checks?
