  1. Very nice work indeed 👍 Re the above question on sealant, I can recommend Alpha 123 pu sealer/adhesive, it's excellent and has stood the test of time on numerous jobs I've used it for. I'd say it'd be perfect here.
  2. I have come unstuck in the past with this, trying to remove lettering with ipa, I ended up losing the paint underneath too and ended up repainting the whole body.. :(
  3. But makes a fair point nonetheless
  4. Wonder if the woke politburo will take this one down then 😁
  5. The black station wagon is a cracker, was that an Australian market specific motor?
  6. I seem to recall there was a resident pelican in St James's park in London, trouble is it kept eating pigeons, so I believe they "got rid of it" as it was considered unsuitable public viewing 😲
  7. I was watching a 40s American film the other day and was struck by one characters accent, he was cast as a posh American lawyer and the actor spoke with a slight American twang but at the same time very English sounding, I've noticed this particular type of accent in quite a few films of that era, generally used by senior or authority type characters. I'm assuming this must have been based on real life and this kind of speech was heard in real life at the time. Interesting how language and speech "evolves"..
  8. The suggestion was somewhat tongue in cheek! However in my experience some fitters moan about tyre weld but many don't.. if he's getting a new tyre anyway it's no big deal, as opposed to getting the existing one "fixed" If he's got alloy wheels very often it's rim corrosion (ooeerr missus) that creates a slow leak and the wheel just needs a good cleaning.
  9. Aerosol tin of tyre weld.. 👍
  10. We always used to have a slash in the pool when we were taken to the swimming baths at school.. It'd have been thought rude not to..
  11. It was definitely one of those 2 on the end... 😁
  12. Had a very weird dream last night during part of which I was on a train, proper old one with real doors and drop lights, anyway I opened and looked out of said aperture only to see an old SR type Emu set in the adjacent platform which comprised several sections in BR blue/grey.. and the back end done in Maroon.! What ever could have been going thru my mind? Sitting opposite were two earnest spotter types in tweed jackets too, who immediately engaged ne in conversation. I suppose it must relate to going to an exhibition last weekend and looking thru the various tat for sale or something, funny thing dreams...
  13. We sorted my old Mum out with a stair lift chair thing and it was brilliant for her, much easier than the upheaval of moving ( and handy for ferrying heavy objects upstairs too )
  14. Made a bit of a social / communal thing out of it too by the looks...
  15. Pass de Izal on de right hand side..
  16. That's a lot of "produce" if not....
  17. You obviously read the instructions didn't you.. 😁
  18. At least you can get a selection of carseys in 1/76.. the one on the end must be the Ladies as it's got a big lock device on the door, to put old pennies in
  19. Everyone bails from Afghanistan, really don't know why they bother to go in the first place tbh...
  20. And what about the Russian special forces issue toilet paper...?
  21. I imagine Izal must've played havoc with your "farmers"....
  22. It's the WW2 era RAC (royal armoured corps) with a "mailed fist" logo in the centre.
  23. One little 'un I rescued from a car breakers as a fairly tiny thing looked like he would be needing bottle feeding, so I drove round ( early evening by now) desperately trying to find somewhere that sold proper kitten milk replacement stuff, after wasting a fair bit of time on some a***hole vet practice that at length decided they wouldn't sell me any after all. I got some eventually from one of those "pets are us" type outfits that was still open. Anyway I rushed home triumphantly only to be told.. .. "oh its OK, he's stuffing himself with tinned cat food quite happily.." Cats eh...
