Hi, I can confirm the problem is affecting different handsets. Today the problem occur with one so I turned the power off on the main unit and turned it back on which then solved the problem with one handset, but another which was working stopped.

That I can't answer without marking all of my handsets and conducting further testing to see if it is always the same unit.

Hi, When the problem occurs it is only with one handset, the others keep working ok thankfully.

Hi, I've got a Gaugemaster DCC Prodigy advanced 2 with the wireless conversion pack and 8amp booster. I find sometimes one of the wireless handsets stops working. The only way I've found to re-establish the connection is to turn the whole system off for a period of time, but that's not ideal when I'm running the layout. Does anybody know of how to try and avoid the problem in the first place and how to resolve it without turning everything off? The handset is quite close to the transmitter on the base station. I've tried plugging the controller into the base station but that doesn't help re-establish the connection. Kind regards, Simon

I've also noticed something different from when I first set up the turntable. If I selected a track to move the turntable, the only track numbers were those programmed. Now the Tr number that can be selected is numerous and is I try and program for track 3 I get the Err 1 message.

Hi, I've recently installed a Heljan turntable and initially setting it up was quite straightforward and on different days it would remember and go to the correct track, now though it's a different story. The turntable keeps loosing it's programmed positions and just keeps spinning around non stop. I performed numerous calibrations with the turntable spinning around first fast and then slow speed after hut has passed the sensor without stopping. I've not removed the bridge, the contacts when I installed the turntable were all perfectly clean, the turntable is level as checked when installed. A factory reset sorted the problem out briefly, calibrated fine, programmed the positions again, but then back to square 1 as the saved program positions didn't work. If I try and delete a programmed track I get Err 1 message and the only way it seems to clear that is to switch it off and on again. I know the instructions claim this means no contact with the bridge, but since I'd just calibrated it, I don't believe it's a contract issue with the bridge causing the error code. I've also got the same error code when I incorrectly tried to program a track. The instructions are very poor. I have starting to get fed up with the thing as wish I never bought it as there should not be all these problems. I thought the ADM turntable was expensive but in hindsight maybe was the better investment. Any thoughts/ideas are welcome as to why it is not working correctly anymore? Cheers, Simon

Hi, Just another update. D604 BR Green 'Cossack' now appears to be sold out online leaving only D602 'Bulldog' left in BR Green. I am so glad I got D604 at the end of last week. Cheers, Simon

Sadly the new Peco track won't come quickly enough for me and I've invested in code 75 track to come off the turntable. I've not found any information of people actually changing the track on the deck of the turntable to know how easy a task it will be. I thought the simplest option is to raise up the code 75 track to the same height as the turntable. A lot of people will have bought the Heljan turntable and be in the same situation as myself. Hi, I normally use code 100 track for my layout but I've recently bought a Heljan turntable which is code 83. I have bought some code 75 flexible track and Peco's transition rail section to use for the turntable. My understanding is the code 75 track is a slightly lower height and width compared to code 83? What is the best way to get a level rail height to avoid derailment problems? I have read that some people have used card but looking online the specifications is GSM and width/length. Is there a specific card size in GSM that will solve the problem? I'd like to order all the parts I need before attempting to install the turntable. Cheers, Simon

Hi, I've tried several different non sounded decoders including Gaugemaster and none have solved the problem. It is possible that some other locomotives could be doing it, but it's not very obvious if that is the situation. The track voltage appears to be the same when I checked it with a meter, assuming that the meter is sensitive enough to give a different reading? I had the meter set for 20v AC. Since multiple decoders are giving the same problem I don't believe it will be a corruption issue. I've rung Gaugemaster and they are a little stuck at the moment on what to suggest. Cheers, Simon

Hi, The decoder I fitted is non sound and think it is a Hornby Sapphire. It was fitted to a Dapol class 22 and don't believe that gave any problems, but I will put the decoder into another model and see if the problem persists. If it does occur then I will make Gaugemaster my first point of call. Cheers, Simon

Hi, I've got a Gaugemaster Prodigy Advanced 2 Wireless system with the Gaugemaster 8amp booster. The main unit is on one district and the 2nd district uses the 8amp booster. I've recently bought a class 52 Western 'Western Enterprise' from Cheltenham Model Centre and noticed the locomotive dramically changes speed when it moves into the booster district. None of my other locomotives, including Dapol class 22's do this. I have a large number of sounded locomotives spread across the two districts. The speed changed and sound of the motor is quite significant and needs to be resolved. I haven't spoken to Gaugemaster or Dapol/Cheltenham Model Centre yet as I thought I would ask on here and see if anybody else has had this problem. Why would only the new loco be affected? Hi, Since having a locomotive with activedrive from Digitrains I have slowly been converting all my other locomotives. Does anybody other than YouChoos offer F2 brake function for a class 41 for both types of headcodes? Cheers, Simon
