  1. Thank you for your reply Classy52, I have emailed DC kits last night & it appears that I've been sent the Chip for a Bachmann loco (Bachmann chip has the Evening Star Bell on F16). So that would probably explain why the lights aren't functioning as they should be. The loco will be going off to DC kits to have the correct chip fitted & hopefully that will solve the problems. Many thanks for your reply though & I will update on here when I've got the loco back again.
  2. Good afternoon all, a bit of help required from the tech boffins here if I may please. I've just fitted my Hattons 66097 with the recommended MKL chip with EM2 speaker. I've followed the instructions provided with the loco so I believe the internal switches are all in the correct format for the chip, but I can now only use night lighting, the cab lights are not illuminating on either end, nor can I get tail lights at either end. Also, following the function sheet provided on DC kits website, F16 is down as automatic Compressor Speed Up. But when activating F16 I get the sound of a bell. I think I've soldered everything correctly otherwise the sound wouldn't even play but I just can't get my head round the lighting situation or why there is a bell sounding which isn't even listed on the function sheet. Any help from anyone would be very much appreciated, kind regards & many thanks in advance.
  3. ahh so it's automatic on the A/S offering then, sorry I wasn't aware as I haven't got my 66004 to play with yet 😉 I do love the realism of them being automatic so I'm rather looking forward to having a play about with them. If its anything like the Hattons Class 66 with sound, the cooler group is on function 12. When F12 is active the fans will kick in automatically when you hit a certain power on your control. When you drop back below that power the fans will deactivate. If you'd prefer just to listen to the engine sound then keeping F12 deactivated is the way to go.

  5. I'm looking forward to visiting this one again, Macc was my home town for over 30 years until I moved away. A couple of questions though please, are there any trade stands going that sell new or nearly new 00 gauge locos & stock, also I can't seem to see the vintage bus timetable on the site so please can this be added too? Kind regards & many thanks.
  6. Thank you so very much for this Chris, I'm just a little nervous about the whole soldering thing. I know you can buy the whole kit with an EM2 speaker from DC kits but I'll first have to get a soldering iron & some solder, then I'll need to get some instructions on how & where to wire it up. Thank you so very much though for your help.
  7. Kaput, thank you so so much this is perfect information. I may need some guidance on fitting this correctly but I think I'll put the order in now. Very much appreciate this many thanks.
  8. Good Afternoon all, I hope I'm posting this in the right place & someone maybe able to help me. I have a DB Schenker Class 66 from Hattons & would love to give it DCC Sound, having watched a few videos on YouTube the sound that Hattons fitted to the 66 as standard was the stand out winner. Please can anyone who maybe aware point me in the direction of purchasing a sound chip that Hattons factory fitted to them in the first place & if possible could anyone please advise if there is a speaker already on the loco or would I have to purchase a speaker seperately? Many thanks in advance for any help or assistance, Kind Regards.
  9. I too am very keen to see a video of the sounds in action, mainly to find out if the very prolific rad fan is present. I really hope it is because the 92's fan made the loco even better! So looking forward to release of these.
  10. I received my RTC pair yesterday & as predicted they are absolutely stunning! The livery application, interior details, exterior details & just about everything else are absolutely top notch! I'm still yet to pluck up the courage to open them up & fit the curtains & any other bufferbeam detailing I can but they are so packed with detail I don't think adding anymore could possibly make them any better. I'm still awaiting my pre-orders of WCRC examples from ROS but these are simply divine! Echoing someone elses comment in this thread... Now we've seen these... How about some MK2E's or F's & even better... Some WCML loco hauled MK3's! 😉 Keep up the stunning work as ever Accurascale & many thanks.
  11. If true that'd be fantastic! Let's cross fingers wait & see. Thanks for the info.
  12. Looking forward to someone announcing an exclusive 69009 as that's the best livery I've seen on one yet!
  13. I'm loving all of these but 004 the most as its the one I've ordered 😉 I've also put my email address forward for 779 if any spare sound fitted examples become available..... very much doubt they will but you never can be sure.
  14. I suppose now the production liveries have been shown off to the masses at MRS there will be an update next week or just after with all the new liveried examples. I've personally pre-ordered 37116 in Colas & the Dutch one which number always alludes me. Can't wait to receive mine as all of these look incredible!
