About Me

I regard myself as extremely fortunate to have (a) been born in Cornwall, (b) had an aeromodelling uncle who introduced me to plastic kit building at a very early age, (c) had a schoolfriend who introduced me to real railways at the height of the hydraulic reign (my ABCs say I saw all five D600s but wish I could remember the green ones) and (d) met my wife on her 20th birthday then discovered we had the same surname! (No, we're not related, she's from NI - although we did still have to swear this on a bible in Belfast City Hall!!) Not long retired back to Kernow after 47 years working for only two employers - the Royal Air Force and the UK distributor for a Japanese car manufacturer. It ain't like that these days, is it?........
