  1. Just been looking through some old slides and came across these from late 70's/early 80's from the North Norfolk Railway GER Y14 564, LNER J15 7564 and a cabriolet B12 (aka 8572 in the re-making)
  2. Maybe the driver had just dropped his packet of Polos.
  3. 1873 Morant map of Norwich showing thee City Goal http://historic-maps.norfolk.gov.uk/mapimageviewer/
  4. Kings Cross I guess? Going to loose a few hours on that site. Do the "Advanced Search", with years from 1830 to 1900 and Railways as keyword!
  5. Substitute West Norwich for London! https://collage.cityoflondon.gov.uk/view-item?i=320841
  6. Not St John the Baptist under construction, but St Pancras. (The London Picture Archive) https://collage.cityoflondon.gov.uk/view-item?i=305816

Would also put the terminus building on the main road. Exit out a tunnel straight into the station! (Where have I seen idea this before???)
  8. What about coming along the River Yare instead
  9. Well, looking at Babingley on Wiki, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babingley) St Felix was the first Christian church in Norfolk. A legend claims that Felix was shipwrecked on the River Babingley but a colony of beavers saved him from drowning, so in gratitude Felix consecrated the chief beaver as a bishop. The village sign records the legend, showing a beaver wearing a bishop's mitre, ministering to other beavers. A shrine to Beavers, you couldn't make it up any better!
  10. Not sure if it's come up before, (quick search say's no!) but there is a ruined church to St Felix about 1.5 mile SSE of Wolferton Copyright Gintaras Girdzius https://goo.gl/maps/VGQDG839qLxcMxQT6
  11. Just went back to look at page 1 and came across the picture of the old Drill Hall, instantly reminded of the buildings at St Wilfreds Priory in Arundel. https://goo.gl/maps/6uXr5KBepKisXnr7A
  12. https://images.app.goo.gl/HAixnThCBUe2GnNS8 https://images.app.goo.gl/1xfT4DEtq2s4FSY29 Looks like taken from similar spots on Sugar Loaf Hill.
  13. This is the Amberley one (taken yesterday 14/Jul/19)
  14. Had a quick visit to Gaugemasters shop in Ford, Arundel, and saw these. First two are O Gauge, last is N gauge.
