  1. A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. Add a sprinkling of ignorance and the determination that only you know what is the truth and it becomes lethal.

  2. Somewhere in my house there is a small blue piece of plastic

    Without it I can't run any trains.

    It would hold a tiny SD card, so that I could plug that card into my computer, so that I could adjust the startup video settings, so that I could see what's on screen when my Pi-SPROG starts up. (The old screen died.)

    I wonder where it is...

      Was the box in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard'?

  3. I'm surprised how few UK locomotives have the word 'fox' in their names...

      A while ago, I found a document with the names of all UK named locomotives.  It's kinda useful, so I spreadsheeted it and have made a few tidyups.  Link below, and my doc version of it attached.

      Clever.  I like it.  Did the first one survive until when the second was in service?

      * goes away to check!

      3830, withdrawn 1931.  Shame, I always wanted a Hornby 4-4-0 County.

      1023 built January 1947...  and I do like the Hawksworth Counties...

      Yes.  I did idly muse about renaming any D49/2s that make their way onto the layout - I think there were 49 "Hunts", and there are approximately that many Tolkien Hobbit/Lord of the Rings characters...  :D
