  1. Fun Fact: That shop from Cologne is specialized on TT-Gauge and also exist as a shop "of "Wood and Brick". There is a rumor in german Forums that Hornby got in touch with all bigger Retailer in Germany which sell their Arnold TT-Range to offer them to put the Hornby TT:120 Range into their portfolio.
  2. Modellbahnunion have similary plans like Elriwa but there is no official announcement. Donnerbüchse Köln Modellbahnen from Cologne also announced that they soon will sell Hornby TT:120 in Germany.
  3. Im interested in Hornby's TT:120 Range und expect more than N-Gauge has to offer.
  4. I expect from Hornby better availability and more diversity of Models in TT that what I can expect from N Gauge on the market exists. Also better Quality that Dapol N-Gauge Stuff.
  5. The glue looks dangerous close to the Windows.
  6. Looks like we get the "standard" 61' Gresley Coaches for the A3 and the A4. Link
  7. It was said that the sound Decoders will come blank. I'm surprised his Decoder came with generic Steam sounds and the Gresley A4 has a prefitted Speaker onboard.
  8. Nice picture, looks like a Model Landscape. That's interesting...
  9. When you mentioned Warship Models from Fleischmann and Märklin from the 1960s, I first expected they took just a german V200 and just painted them green, red or blue... When my Uncle saw the first time a Picture of an A3 with Smoke Deflectors in one of my british Railway Books, his first Comment was "looks like the Englanders copied our Post War Smoke Deflectors!" Fun Fact: He's born in 1963!
  10. "The legendary "Flying Scotsman" celebrates its 100th anniversary and conquers the model railway world!" Link
  11. Southern Model Supplies in Adelaide becomes the Distributor for Hornby TT:120 in Australia.
  12. I still don't get why the started with Composite Coaches; who needs four of them in Maroon?
  13. Isn't the Class 31 part of Phase 3 or 4? Hornby could follow an old Arnold concept from the 1970s & 1980s; Many Starter Sets, offered at the same time, some with different radius, to combine them to a double track oval (one set with a main line Train and R3 and another with a shunter train and R2 ect.). An old Arnold Catalogue of my uncle from the early 80s had 12(!!!) Starter Sets listed.
  14. Interesting; The UK Website of Hornby says "last few". The german/international Website of Arnold says "available to Pre-Order". Both should get the Sets from the same pool in the UK? I think the "The Easterner" Set is a perfect Starter Set; A big Pacific Express Steam Loco and three common Mk1 Coaches. There should be similary Sets for the Midland, Southern and Western Regions which stay permanently. Also a BR Blue Era Set with a Diesel and three Mk1 or Mk2 Coaches would be nice for the Range. Same goes for further "Big Four" Starter Sets.
  15. The Main Line Coaches were also 61' coaches, but open/vestibuted with doors at boths ends linke common for coaches from the continent. They were the main stock for ECML named Trains - and perfect for the A4.
  16. I hope the (for Wave 3 or 4) announced Gresley Coaches will include also the Main Line Variants.
  17. The Set is sold out and "available to Pre-Order" again.
  18. I also noticed on the Hornby Commercial (which you can see on their website) that on the running A4 only the last axle of the Tender is spinning.
  19. Your A4 looks fine to me. Looks like not all Locos have those bended valances; thats good.
  20. There seems to be some misunderstandings. Can those who have the set confirm that their Locos also have strange outwards bended valances, like you can see on the box cover and in some review or unboxing videos which the models shouldn't have.
  21. I have seen many reviews and unboxing videos. It is common for all A4 from the Easterner Starter Sets that the remnants of the valances over the cylinders are bended like shown on the Set's front cover?
  22. LNER Network Tank Steam Locos in N, which isn't relevant...
  23. Mk1 & Mk2 Coaches NER 20 Ton Hopper Wagons Class 30/31, Class 37 & Class 55 as alternatives to the Farish Models. Coaches could be offered in sets of 2 or 3 and seperate as single Models. If you bring those Mk1 non-corridor sub urban Coaches in N, it would be nice to also see the "gangwayed" ones.
  24. Do we know (or have any hints) of Peco if the plan to rework only their existing wagon range or do they plan to bring other types?
