Hey everyone, it has been quite awhile since i started this thread on Hayling Island and a part from a bit of chat very little has happened. Well i am happy to say that modelling has begun. It isn’t much as i am concentrating on building Hayling Island station building, and after a few attempts at the front wall, i think i have finally got it right.
As this is preservation the station building has undergone a few changes to suit it’s new role. The ladies waiting room is now the station shop and what was the toilets is now the station restaurant, the toilets will be in a separate block.
I have added a few photos of the front wall and a bit of the platform and also the loco shed, which although looks very modern, does look like what has been built on many preserved lines. It does require some detailing on the outside and inside.
I have added a few photos to give a rough idea of what it will look like. Nothing is pinned or glued down at the moment.
The pride of the line 32661 is in the platform with an ex LSWR coach and 13 Carisbrooke is in the shed yard.
