  1. So sad to hear of this. Derwent Spa is indeed fabulous. David
  2. Very impressive Giles. I can just imagine the trains sweeping through the curves in that junction.cheers David
  3. We have the makings of one bus stance
  4. Have made a start on the bus stances.
  5. I have made a little more progress with the bus station setting out pavements and walls. The blue wall will have a large Bluebird logo, apparently a feature of Alexander's bus stations. Behind the stepped wall at the back would be Cunningham Street which ran on an incline down towards the pub. Eastern Scottish used to run some services from a stance on this street because of congestion in the old Buchanan St. Bus Station so I plan to tuck a suitable double decker bus behind the wall, just the top will be visible. Cheers David
  6. I did not do these but what i usually do is download the images from the net and print them on transfer paper, put the transfers on 5 thou plastic, spray over with matt varnish. I need to do an Irn Bru one!
  7. Brian very kindly sent some advertising to put on the end of the tenement.
  8. Good to hear you have the all clear. Happy New Year Cheers David
  9. Happy New Year and all the very best to you for 2024. Cheers David
  10. This is what will sit behind the tenement Brian made. The big empty area in the middle will be Dundas St Bus Station. Wishing all on here the compliments of the season. Cheers David
  11. Here is where I have got to with the trams. Cunarder on the left, Kilmarnock bogie on the right. Also in an attempt to create something that looks like Matthew Reid's Pub for the bus station scene I have again resorted to joining two Bachmann ready to plant buildings.Work in progress!
  12. That is excellent work . The rising terraces are particularly effective.
  13. Here is the current state of play with the bus station office. Signage is the main item outstanding. Cheers David
  14. This is the next building, the bus station office. This was a modest single storey flat roof brick built affair. I have cheated a bit by combining two Bachmann parcels offices. So not a faithful copy. Once painted in Alexander Midland colours I think it will serve the purpose
  15. Next, made from the same kit as the Cunningham Street building is this tenement which will sit opposite the exit of the bus station.
  16. I have used some laser cut kits to produce the carcasses for some buildings for GQS. I plan to use embossed plastikard to produce the required stone texture. The first is this building to go at the west end of the Cunningham St bridge, including an in situ photo. Cheers David
  17. That looks good Andy, is it a Welsh Highland one?
  18. I like the Albions. Nostalgic memories of rattling up to Falkirk in those.
  19. Meanwhile there has been some progress outside with the base for the repllica coach despite some challenging weather. There is a lot of timber still to go in including some central support.
  20. I am now working on the area which will sit behind the newly delivered tenement. This will have a representation of Dundas St Bus Station including the bus station office and Matthew Reid's pub. Across from that will be a further tenement. I will need lots of Alexander Midland buses to represent a busy bus station. There are quite a few available but i wanted to create something that is not available straight out the box. I took a Barton liveried Leyland Tiger and repainted it. Just the destination and route no. to do.
  21. You have made a great job of those Peter. David
