Eden Road TMD

I’ve had the 97 on pre-order from the day it was announced, and I had decided that was all I wanted. However, I am weak and have now also ordered 37609 in DRS livery from Rainbow Railways. Got high hopes for these.

Definitely not the retailer.

They came factory fitted.

My mate has one of these and the sand boxes have been put on diagonally opposite from where they should be

Sorry for the lack of updates, life gets in the way sometimes. Wenstead is now mostly complete and had its first exhibition last weekend.

Getting a feel for Wensted now that the track is mostly laid on the scenic board. I am waiting for a double slip for the fiddle yard which is due any day from TMC.

Wenstead is a modern day fictional layout based in the West Country of England. It will feature an island terminus platform station operated by GWR whose Class 150, 153 & 158’s arrived and depart. Adjacent to the station is a DMU servicing and stabling point. Towards the rear DB Cargo UK have a satellite depot for basic and routine maintenance on both loco’s and china clay wagons. There occasional visits from other freight operators along with the network Rail Class 950 and MPV The layout will be fully DCC including points using a Digitax system, track is code 75 along with point motors from Peco. All being well, the layout will be ready for its first show by early Summer 2022. Base baseboards are 9’ x 2’ with a scenic section of 5’ x 2’.

More bits of my 66’s have fallen off. This time it’s the grill and cover for the horns on one end. Only been out the box a few times.

I got a message from them the other day, they are due imminently.

I have three 121’s and really pleased with them. They all run fine for me, I have fitted Dapol DCC chips on all of them.

Purchased two Hattons Class 66’s after a lot of deliberation. I held off buying one as tbh I got spooked with a lot of the issues. However I took the decision to purchase a couple of pre-owned for a bargain price and wow, what a model. They do have a few marks etc but I knew this in advance.

I’ve bought two pre-owned. I know the faults so worth a punt. £204 for the pair.

Been doing some scenic improvements on Eden Road TMD in the past week.

I like the West Coast 57, so most likely be having one of those.

Not on Eden Road TMD, my Model Railway club room where the layout is stored is closed due to the current circumstances. Im currently thinking about some kind of micro layout to potter about with until I can get back to club meets.

Lockdown has meant I have not been able to do anything with Eden Road TMD as I keep it stored at my Model railway club. I’m hoping to get on with the shed detailing soon, and in the meantime I have been making one or two purchases for the layout.

Bought another 33 at the weekend. One of the Gaugemaster limited editions, 33025 in BR blue.

I bought the GWR version from KMS Railtech in Aberdeenshire fitted with a Lenz decoder. I’m impressed with the look of the model, only one minor issue is fingerprints show on body really easily.

I got my West Coast Railway’s liveried 33 on Friday, really please with it.
