  1. As regards the handrails, unless you're peering through a magnifying glass, I think they're a more realistic alternative to the wire ones.
  2. I think there comes a point when you can have just too much detail & too many features on an 00 gauge locomotive. As regards the Class 66, the Hornby model has too little detail & for me, the Hattons 66 has too much making it prone to damage & problems. I'm happy with the Bachmann offering. Just my opinion. Others may disagree, possibly quite vehemently.
  3. Freightliner 08 & 70, DRS 37 & 68. Hattons Freightliner 66 & Accurascale DRS 37 on pre order.
  4. One of my Grandsons wanting a model railway for Christmas got me interested again. A long Army career meant that before now it just wasn't practical. Yes, a lot has changed.
  5. Been looking at RMweb for a while now & joined today. I've been out of the hobby for forty odd years but decided that with more time on my hands, I'd have a go at a small layout, 8' x 3'6". I'm sure that most will work out that "Hadmere" is an anagram of a preserved diesel railway. Hope you like it.
