  1. Where not the containers ''standard'' BR types so there would be a generous supply of these at the 2 depots for supply & demand ? Thus allowing running a full train at all times for the fast timing expected of this service, Peter (awaiting the announcement of the 00 wagons!)

  7. Born in Ilkeston I have always wondered if there was a local Cossall colliery PO wagon. We have a nice Manors 00 wagon again an Ilkeston Colliery. My good friend ''Dave'' has amazingly just found a photo in a issue of backtrack. Would any one else by chance have seen or know of any more details on suck a wagon please.   11. there strangely is a real car similar to the above based here in South Normanton (Alfreton) with music bellowing out the speaker which makes you smile as it passes. Must get a photo! spooky seeing it here as a model. Peter

  19. Hello all, does anyone know if etched painted name plates are available for the Hornby Stanton 57 ? thanks, Peter. Yes I have one as a, worked a while in the spun pipe plant. b, worked a while at Wolmot Brothers (sadly) who maintained these engines. Peddled through the Stanton works many times on my Sunday shed visits to Toton.
