  1. Working on the 7mm DJH Jubilee and reached point of adding the wheel balance weights. Large weights (6 spokes wide) go on the centre axle wheels and smaller weights (5 spokes wide) on the front and rear axle wheels. The instructions have a reminder that the small weights are handed, with no further detail. Being 6 spokes wide, the large weights have to be one spoke off centre, but is this c/wise or AC/wise? From some photos it looks c/wise. I think the rear axle weight starts at the same spoke as the large weight and the front axle weight starts one spoke to the right of the other two. Is this what would be considered handed? Apologies for the long blurb!
  2. Thanks for the useful information Cyberman/Jason. Bit of a minefield, but I do like a challenge! I'm a long way off yet as just started the chassis, but early research is necessary methinks as I wish to complete in the early original livery. Bob
  3. My first post, so please forgive if a basic question! Currently on furlough and going through my model stash found 7mm DJH K309 Jubilee kit with Stainer 4000 gallon riveted tender (bought 19 years ago!). I would like to finish it in the traditional crimson lake but cannot find any references for this combination. Does anyone have any knowledge/useful references of any Jubilees with this tender in this colour please? Haven't decided on name at this stage, which will be guided by results. Many thanks in advance.
  4. I'm currently building Slater's 4 wheeled GWR coaches and going for crimson lake as a mid compromise. Official drawings refer to Venetian Red, which I found too red for scale.
