  1. Hi all I recently got this Parkside Dundas ffestiniog railway Blanche kit on the packaging it states that it's designed for an Ibertren 0-4-0 chassis, I was wondering if there's any substitutes I could use since it seems that Ibertren doesn't produce any 0-4-0s anymore and I can't find any second hand thanks in advance
  2. How easy are these to build? I'm still rather new to kitbuilding and haven't built any etched kits to date
  3. They had wheels of 4 ft 6 in diameter and a wheelbase of 15 ft 6 in Most of them had the standard p class boiler (10'3" barrel length, 4'5" barrel diameter and 5'4" firebox length) The problem is that its an open cabbed loco so most mechanisms dont fit all that well
  4. Unfortunately not a good option for me since I live in australia and the postage cost would be prohibitively expensive. I had considered using a chassis from a Hornby 2721 but it looks like the 2721 is a little bit larger so I doubt the 1854 body would fit
  5. Hi all, I recently got this Wills Finecast GWR 1854 class kit I was wondering what modern RTR chassis I could get that would fit this body Thanks in advance
  6. Soaking the model in a degreaser like simple green dissolves the super glue and makes it easy to remove, unfortunately this also strips the paint You can also put the superglue affected model into a freezer for an hour or so, this will make the super glue brittle and easy to remove
