  1. Hi All,

recently got a very good deal on a 769, it’s the only n gauge item I’ve got but I’ve driven it in real life so that’s a good enough excuse. Anyway when I’ve gone to test it today the trailing unit is showing whites when going back and then when leading showing reds. I was hoping someone on here might have an idea,

    thanks

    Jack

  2. Right so I think this will be the final track plan, I originally wanted a two road shed like the peco or gaugemaster kits but they are a bit too wide and would push the track at the front a bit too close to the edge, I’ll be going for the 3-d printed single road shed that I’ve seen on a certain auction site I was just wondering if anyone had experience with them. If anyones got any ideas or tips I’d love to hear them.
    thanks

  3. Hi all first time starting a new topic on here so let’s see how this goes. Firstly a bit about myself, I'm 24 and recently got back into model railways due to forcing my son into watching the classic Thomas and friends episodes and taking him around to stations and preserved railways. Im currently a trainee train driver with transport for wales driving on the valleys in what should be classed as classic traction (150’s)🤣.

Anyway about the layout it’s a scale model scenery laser cut kit that fits in a Christmas tree box, something for me to build my skills and practice before a larger layout once a house move is complete. I’ve a couple of ideas from a wagon works and stabling point to the a slightly compressed Cobra railhead yard from the peco track plan book. I’ll be building the baseboards over the next couple of days so any help regarding a layout plan and anything really will be much appreciated.

sorry this is a rambling first post but thanks for reading

I’ve no idea why people order from an unknown company with no reputation you can check, there’s hundreds of well known  model shops out there - or am I missing a trick ?

I did check that’s the worse bit, I looked on here before I ordered on the 25th feb and the most up to date was from may 2021 saying it was a good retailer and all the reviews up to 4th March confirmed it

  5. After a week of waiting I sent an email to ask where my items were and went to find that the website had all the items taken down. I finally checked on here to see that I’m not alone in this which is a little bit more comforting but annoying all the same have just sent a visa dispute to my bank so hopefully will get a refund. I knew that intercity mk3’s in swallow livery for £25 were too good to be true

Cheers Jack, can you sketch out your idea please? Thanks.

The track plan is the same as Idea B Just with a single slip from platform 1 across to the yard and then no platform 3 just a fence or something across the back of the platform

  7. I’d personally go for B but have platform 3 taken out and have fencing there and use that for a freight passing loop, then have a diamond crossing from platform 1 across and use the bi-directional line as a freight loop/ yard, Just a thought but obviously it’s completely up to you. :good:

  8. Andy I can’t believe my eyes having a quick browse through fleebay and came across a rather familiar looking 150 :O. Are we back to no passenger stock once that has gone is or have you got something in the works.
