You might struggle to get help via a status update, it's not very obvious and when four other people post their own status updates this one will disappear from any front facing forum page.
Better to post in here:https://www.rmweb.co.uk/forums/forum/25-modelling-questions-help-and-tips/

Fair comment.
I'd definitely suggest re-posting in the "modelling questions" section of this site.As for the problems you've mentioned, one major issue with old Lima stuff is the "pizza cutter" wheels - you (or someone else) might perhaps be able to grind them down on a drill in a stand. Other options might include replacing the wheels or swapping the bogies for modern Hornby equivalents.
As for corridor connections, this might depend on whether anyone's planning on "backdating" DMUs - or doing "class 121 / 122 driving trailer" conversions on outer cars. OK - there's more to this - but the corridor connections might not be needed with certain conversions.I know I'm thinking of doing some conversions in the future - but I wouldn't be much help, because I'm in a different part of the UK.
