I need some advise on the use of a timer with the Kaydee 309 magna electric uncoupler. I would like to use a push button to active the uncoupler, need to put a timer in the circuit to leave both hands free for train control. As the voltage required to the uncoupler is 16 volt I feel that any 12 volt timer would be unsuitable. Has anyone had any experience of using a timer with these uncouplers or know of one that works? Thanks in advance for any replies.
