  1. I don't think the gentleman concerned was a user of those And yes it can be done, best I have seen is the block controlled storage yard on Farnham's Wickwar, a masterpiece. Regards Peter
  2. OK agree with the above, I was looking at it as to where did R3 NC get its input voltage but I have seen my error. By heck that is a lot of relays to wire and mount on a layout that is of this magnitude. Regards Peter
  3. I am still trying to work this circuit out, something about the coil circuit is not right for what he is trying to achieve. Still the gentleman concerned will have more time at the bench rather than doing updates on here. Regards Peter
  4. It is not only the items mentioned, i was trying to work out how many droppers he would have to have and solder and the voltage drop you would get on a layout of that size if he wires it the way i think he had in mind. Still occasionally arrogance can be an asset but in this case I am not so sure. Regards Peter
  5. Apologies all, per my previous post, for some reason I had thought that Manxcat's model was an actual location in Scotland. Regards Peter
  6. Was there not a layout in this thread that depicted a Kirk in Scotland next to a railway that was a faithful representation of what had existed ? i have actioned a search but cannot find it. Perhaps it was in a different topic but the posts were about how excellent the representation of the architecture was and probably still is. There was only a wall between the graves and the track. Regards Peter
  7. All Excuse my ignorance does Stoke Summit Layout still exist with the Wolverhampton Group ? Probably one of the few layouts I could watch all day. Regards Peter
  8. A pound for all those who stood behind and said "that's Tony what's his name from that magazine you know" Regards Peter
  9. What I do not understand is that they more than likely know people within the hobby that could solve the issue ( see specific text in green above ) but choose not to do so for some reason. Asking politely never hurts and normally does not get an impolite response but some courteous assistance. Generally I have found everyone in this hobby likes to assist and is generous with their time and help. Regards Peter
  10. "I say" in my best Leslie Phillips impersonation
  11. They have come out well Steve better than many I have seen. As grahame has stated would be interested about the printing element and material used. Regards Peter
  12. Excuse my ignorance but your avatar text explains "Land of the Prince Bishops" which to me is the area of Durham, and although I live on the South Coast I am always available to talk or text re electrical / electronics issues, it has been my trade for twenty plus years so i might be able to help. Do not hesitate to private message me if stuck, I am sure there are others on here only to happy to help as well. Regards Peter
  13. Hi Tom That is excellent please keep them coming whenever possible. Regards Peter
  14. Thank you for the clarification chrisf and all info gratefully rec'd. I do remember as a youth Hammersmith Broadway being a trolley and bus mecca between 1958 to 1966 along with the Odeon and the Palais for night time entertainment. Regards Peter
  15. Thanks for that, my memory is poor because I thought the 260 / 660 started at Hammersmith Broadway but it apparently set off from The White City. Regards Peter
  16. Apologies "off topic" I know but I think the 260 ran as a trolley bus till 1964 I used it on odd occasions when I attended an Acton School. Regards Peter
  17. I really object, having played away versus Wolverhampton Wanderers and others until I succumbed to the pain, with a broken foot (admitedly bandaged and injected ) and a knee swollen beyond recognition because the manager insisted I doubt that the gentleman in the upper picture of Brazilian descent is allowed near a grass surface unless his legs are shaved and his body is in a certain state of preparation........ Having said that he earns more than thirty pounds a week including bonuses and is really an athlete, I would not call him a footballer in the true tradition. Sorry for the rant. Regards Peter
  18. That is an outstanding model, congratulations to the modeller a real piece of engineering in that scale. Regards Peter
  19. I am probably setting myself up for a flogging here but does no one like the P2 2-8-2 to my mind a beautiful if short lived endeavour? I will run while I have my legs attached now Regards Peter
  20. Southampton was excellent as a show on the Saturday when I attended but then I did spend a fair (large) amount of time with Tony and Mo plus a gentleman ( one of Tony's students ) whose name escapes me from Oxfordshire. My only criticism is in post 22236 on this thread which partly agrees with you. Please do not misconstrue my haircut comment long hair is fine if clean, I just like good manners and a little bit of cleanliness in a human being. Regards Peter
