I've been faffing about with a Hornby Elite trying to update it's software for weeks.. In rocks teenage son and bifbashbop he does it.

I don't know what i did the first time i tried printing my own decals but i didn't do it this time and they've come out looking really good.

Gutted the motor out of a Hornby 110. It can spend it's days tied to a Heljan 128. Not that i needed to take the motor bogie out the 128 will drag it about and more, wheels going round or not.

Just bought a class 16. Fantastic looking loco. Most realistic in it's operation. The motor has burnt out rendering it a total failure after only a few days in traffic.

This year i will have owned my big signalbox longer than the LNER did. I'd better think of a treat for it methinks.

I actually ran the model railway as intended last night and it all worked and it all stayed on the track despite several propelling moves including a 20 wagon MGR. I could get into this.

A nice little LMS Jinty arrived in the post today.

The final cuts in the rodding tomorrow to set the arms of the compensator with due regard to the temperature at the time. It's been a nice break from testing. Why does no one want to do this work any more?

I thought i'd take out a subscription to a magazine. I'm now in regular receipt of emails offering deals on subscription to said magazine.
