  1. I’d think that an FL 66/6 early batch might be a possibility, Hattons only did one. Maybe a 66/4 in DRS base livery with FL branding? Another DRS compass 66 or maybe a Malcolm or Stobart special. I’d like to see some more GBRf oddities (709/711/718/720/721…)
  2. I have a set of resprayed Hornby/Bachmann Mk.1’s and some Bachmann Mk.2f’s, it’s going to be interesting to see how those I’ve already got line up to these AS Mk.2b’s and c’s. I have faith in both AS and the resprays, I do think the rakes aren’t supposed to quite match and that a tolerance is allowed for a) colour and b) weathering. The WCRC rakes haven’t ever really matched but seen them be in various states. And that’s from having spent some time around them, the amount of soot and dirt that comes off a Steam engine does change how a coach would look as seen in photos above. I’m still very much looking forward to getting my hands on my WCRC ones!
  3. Thats pretty much what the other station announcement function (F29) says.
  4. Not to worry Function 29 does fine to keep those pesky passengers away from the edge of the platform and speaking from experience the horn works as well! 🤣
  5. I don’t think this has been asked yet (it might have been apologies if it has) is there a CV to change Function 30 from a south west trains announcement to something up north?
  6. Well said!! And well done to @AY Mod! That’s the 2nd/3rd thread I’ve seen them derail with an endless DCC, anti ESU rant! Do it privately and be polite! I feel bad for the folks at Cavalex who’ve had to deal with him!
  7. I’m yet to take a punt on one yet, however there are a few of the modern image ones I like but I’ll have to see how they fit in with other models. There just appears to be something off about the Heljan model I can’t quite put my finger on it.
  8. Well we’ve escaped any leaks so far but not heard an announcement during the weekend unless the Mk1 Sub announcement was for the weekend?
  9. Nice to see these! I have 37116 and 37422 on order but I’m going to have to try and back date 422 so it doesn’t have the black headcode box and various decals.
  10. I think a UKRL one in grey (probably 56104 as 081/098 have been done as GBRf locos) would be very nice! I’d also like to throw a DCR green one (56303) or 56103 in unbranded Fertis livery into the ring… a Fastline 56301 would be good but I think this is a no go due to the cabs. Of course, I’m a modern image but I’ve been told by friends they would like Dutch or Transrail livery’s if you model further back in time.
  11. But they’ve told every employee about a different project so they find out who’s spilling the beans to Mr. Potato Head🕵️‍ It’s a good job that they have so many projects on the go they can give each employee one project… Even Barbra the cleaner knows one!
  12. It would be interesting if it was announced at MRS, but not put online to see if they can catch out Mr. Potato Head, unless they are at MRS also 👀
  13. The website does actually say, “The models are likely to be priced in line with our other 00 unit models at around £300 for the 3-car Class 320 and £350 for the 4-car Class 321, with DCC Sound etc around £100 extra, and we will be opening the pre-order book shortly to enable customers to reserve their models.”
  14. Here’s hoping that a Northern 321/9 can be made!
  15. Yeah that’s the one! I think it would make one heck of an Accurascale Exclusive…
  16. I’ll be waiting for a certain Generator coach that I’m really hoping that AS will do in the next batch!
  17. Placed my order, great loco and nicely in my era. Who can resist a Large Logo 37… Well done to the SRPS! (&AS) Also tells us that there’s another batch of 37’s due at the back end of 2025…
  18. 31128 has been the long standing one, obviously before that you had the DCR pair of 31452 & 31601. 31270 in its Reggie Railways livery as per current. You also had BR green 31190 on for some time, as well as fragonset livery for various running numbers, bright Wessex pink on 601, 31454 in its IC colours. 31110 traction magazine if you want to go closer to 2000. Also of course various Yellow examples of course 31105/285 are being done by AS but was thinking 233/465/602 might have snuck in with Bachmann. it could be just me being upset about there not being one for me, but I’m sure AS and Bachmann will announce more.
  19. No Bachmann 31’s for me, unfortunately the Privatisation era has been forgotten, no DCR or modern mainline Pres models means no take up from me. Rather surprised to see the most modern one is the mainline one and that it’s an exact match to the AS one. I was hoping this would provide more variety in liveries but it appears that we have a few duplications. Hopefully the selection keeps others happy!
  20. Well I’m sorry but, they’ve proven they can deliver a new tooling to good standards, and the Flirt unit they are doing looks to be a of a great standard. However by not developing on what they have, which was the best (& only) tooled 31 on the market they have now lost that high end spec loco. They pumped out railroad models in all kinds of liveries but where was this in the higher spec model? No where to be seen and as such a void was created and now filled by AS & Bachmann am I wrong? If they had of updated the tooling and DCC circuits do you think there would have still been a gap for AS & Bachmann to try, I don’t think so, so yes it is Hornby’s fault and they need to learn use the high spec toolings or loose them with other manufacturers sniffing around, look at the 56 and the 60, Hornby’s is a good model. However cavalex’s 56 is better and I expect the 60 will be as well, if you leave a gap it will be filled. Build it and they will come (or buy it in this case!). @Covkid but if Hornby had of re-tooled or upgraded there 31 then they would have been getting rid of Mazak problems with a new release and then AS wouldn’t have had as much of an opportunity with the 31. I see your point and I agree that AS have a more streamlined business case and are able to probably provide better value for money on a detailed loco, but we can’t be sure because an RRP hasn’t been announced yet, although I do agree I think the price point of the Bachmann 31 will be higher than AS. That is life but if the model is the loco I want in the livery I want I’ll buy either, why because they have built it!
