  1. Hello out there, can anyone point me to a supplier of parts for for my 9F. I require a set of compressors, air receivers and any valves that come with them. Thanks
  2. Thanks for that, but what I require is a lot smaller. I have now purchased a set of allen keys (sizes typically 1.5mm 1.6mm), so going to cut them to length and use a pin drill.
  3. I could buy another set of L allen keys and cut them off, and use a pin vice hold them.
  4. Anyone know where small screwdriver allen keys can be purchased please. When using very small bolts I find the traditional L shape keys are very difficult to use. Ideally small bit type keys would be fine. Thanks
  5. Thanks to all who sent the photographs, these are extremely helpful. I would like a photograph of the firebox/ inside the cab showing the locations of the equipment I have seen a square on photograph somewhere but can not remember where of the cab layout. (it must be an age thing)
  6. Thanks for the replies above , will build it with a single chimney, use the running number 92099
  7. Well on with my second O gauge 9F , tender done thanks to some very good photographs post on here. My next decision to be made is, was there a double chimney 9F working the Consett oar trains. If there was what was the running numbers. I have already a Tyne Dock 9F with a single chimney and would like to have a double chimney variation if there was one.
  8. Many thanks for the photographs, extremely useful
  9. I'm having a difficulty sourcing some 12 BA bolts min 15mm long brass prefered , with csk or cheese heads. Can anyone out there please help me. Alternatively M1 bolts would do. Thanks
  10. Help needed please, I'm currently building a 9F used on the Tyne Dock shed. Can anyone please supply a photograph of the positions of the various brake pipes and compressed air connections on the rear of a 9F F tender. Thanks
  11. Come up with a solution, and it appears to work well at no cost. I used a masonry nail removing the washer component. I shaped the pointed end to the size I required, cut the head off the nail, and then placed it in my small drill press. I did a couple of trial goes, then set the depth locking nut on the drill press, bingo it works. As I am building a DJH 9F, the tender (F) has a lot of rivets (about 80) to punch in the coal storage area so just took my time. As the nail is made of very hard steel, I did not get any wear on the tip. So I am happy now I can progress. Thanks all
  12. Hi all, I am looking for a riveting tool and I am considering purchasing a Mr Hobby Mr. Rivet Marking # GT70. Has anyone have any experience using one, especially on an etched brass kit please? Any suggestion on an alternative would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  13. I have given up in trying to find 2.3mm AF spanner. I am now using an Archimedes drill holder and it works a treat.
  14. Thanks for that, what I can not understand is retailers claiming 2.5mm is a 12BA fit. I have a 2.5mm spinner and it just revolves on the nut.
