  1. IThe original as just visible where the existing paint has been smoothed off came from originally being a Class 350 in Silverlink that I found a rather bland scheme, I do own the 450 in SWT and 350 in LM too. I bought the 350 in Silverlink livery back when Hattons were literally giving them away at about £80! Can you imagine that! A 4 car set for £80 (he says after buying 2 150's in GWR at an extortionate price). I always wanted to get it resprayed however never really thought of it much as I bought the 350 when I just finished Uni and life got in the way, I think my layout will be rather eclectic with liverys such as the SWR, SWT, LM, TPE, GWR and TFW! Hoping to get another 150 to send in to get resprayed into TFW as I keep seeing them at work (Just moved to Cardiff) and keep coming up with ideas! Jerry did 2 of my 153's which are scarily and stunningly accurate! People at my work were impressed! I can't wait to see the SWR livery on the 450 as I know it's going to look absolutely cracking if it's anything like the 153's I have, again, the photos don't do them justice as seen here, every little detail is there! Looking much smoother! I forgot how these looked before! Good knowing they are in good hands Can't wait to see that 166 unwrapped, very jealous of whoever's got that coming!
  2. Definately looking forward to seeing the GWR green 166 being completed! Doing what Bachmann said they would do but didn't with that one! Looking good!
  3. Honestly, I said to my friend who models more Connex style units in the South East (So he wouldn't be looking at 153's anyway) that Hornby had released a new 153 in TFW livery and genuinely he could not spot the difference that it was a repaint! Mine look fantastic as they were in the previous ones that Squirrel did. Very happy as TFW will be my new employer when I move from Southern, will admit I am excited to see how the 158's come out, they aren't mine but it's a great idea! Am hoping to save up some train tokens for a 150 for a TFW repaint!
  4. The 153's are absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to get my hands on them! I thought that the previous iteration of these were the benchmark for resprays, I was wrong, very naïve of me! I haven't got my hands on these yet although I am sure it will be soon, if there is anyone out there with a model like this honestly talk to Squirrel Rail! He's been nothing short of a true professional, has e-mailed with above and beyond communication, not just all business but also a pleasant chap too. Absolutely worth the money and I can't wait to see my Class 450 go through the same process! Thinking saving up for a 150 to put into TFW too will be coming up after if Squirrel will take it on! Thank you again!
  5. My gosh, these are SO much better than I would have ever thought they would ever be (not a slight on your abilities) but WOW These will end up being the pride of the fleet at this rate!
  6. I've decided on grabbing a Class 150 for respray into Transport for Wales livery!! (hopefully if Jerry can after my TFW 153's and soon 450 respray) Of course after the purchase of my GWR 150's when they do come out! Thinking of getting a Kernow FGW 150 as they are a bit more of a palatable price! Don't think you can go wrong with Class 150's or 153's although I think the rivets on the 153's are frustrating for respraying!!
  7. I'm worried about even seeing it between June / July, it's not been put in the Summer announcements! Bachmann seem to be really letting the customers down here in my opinion, announced in 2016? with minor modifications to the tooling (Not as much as seen for the GWR 158 which was worth a wait and is fantastic) but it seems month by month it moves back further and further, I think they completed the modifications on the real trains before they have to the models! Not to mention the price increase, i'll pay it as I want the GWR 150 but compared to the KMRC Exclusive Bachmann FGW 150 the price and length of time to produce seems a over the top to me.
