  1. Y'know chaps, when I posted my status on December 13th saying that I had a dream about seeing a BR Black GT3 loco, I never thought that it would *actually* come true in some fashion.
  2. I belieeeve the model batch number or whatever is R297, but dont quote me on it. I'm after a lovely Pacer Railbus in gorgeous/sickly (depending on your point of view) GMPTE Orange/Yellow/Brown! I have one already, but I would like at least 2 or 3 of the blighters so I can have a small band of brothers, as yes I'm one of those weirdos who actually likes Pacers! So I am looking for at least 1, maybe 2 of the cheeky chappies. Comment or message me please if you have one for sale! Thanks~ ♥
  3. I see...thank you for that, I only ever get DC models so never seen one before. I only ordered a DC Reggo one this time too for this one and the BR Blue one, and paid for that so I guess I got upgraded for free...seems I'm a lucky lady. However I only want a DC one so I need to go about changing it out, and I have no idea how to do that! So thats a mystery for another day. But you solved this one so thank you, I would give you a cookie but I can't so...have an...imaginary one instead? ^-^;
  4. Can anyone tell me what this part does? It was loose in the box for my regular GT3 which arrived today. Dont recognise it, was tucked underneath the coupling on the tender at the back. I double checked the box from my Blue Boi GT3 who arrived on monday, and there wasn't anything like this in there, and I have no idea what it is. I dont want to go taking things apart when I'm not sure what I'm doing. Otherwise, very happy! Both turned up before christmas and visually look amazing. Very heavy, amazing detail, the finish on them is super shiny and nice, no damage that I can see and well packaged...just this mystery part I can't identify. I only ordered a standard DC model that was 'ready' not a DCC or Sound fitted one so...peoples thoughts? I'm a bit confused.
  5. Deffo the Bullied Shunter for me, its so cute. I was literally saying the other day to a friend I wished there would be a model or something made for 'Daddy Long Legs' of the Brighton Seashore Railway just because its so bloody weird and we need more weird models...if one did get made through I would be concerned for the legs being super flimsy and snapping off, or how they would get power and pickups... maybe make the legs telescopic or something. And if that gets made then gotta have Volk's Tramway Engines to go with it, cant have one without the other.
  6. My Blue Boi has also turned up! Took an extra 2 days cos mail faffing around but he's finally here and I am very happy ♥ Although I also ordered the regular version too so thought they would be coming together but just the one has turned up so far so I will ask about that. But otherwise I'm happy I have this one for now he looks so good
  7. So despite my earlier protestations about other courier companies and hoping RoyalMail would be as good as usual, mine was supposed to come today being handled by them...but when the van turned up they claimed *could not access property* even though when the postman with letters came about 2 hours before (why separate delivery people, surely combine if going to same address?) managed to post those no problem...so now I have to pick it up tomorrow, joy... At least its an early Xmas present I suppose of sorts when I finally get my mitts on it.
  8. Oh so I'm gonna get them both together? Even better!
  9. Yeah mine came through a few hours ago too! I'm glad its with Royal Mail I was curious who would be handling delivery as a courier as sometimes can be a bit of a pain to re-arrange/collection of stuff with things like Hermes or DPD etc as they can never seem to find my flat door even though its clearly labelled... this is a good sign for me! I can't run them at the moment cos moving house but he can sit in the box and be admired at least. Hope the BR Blue one turns up soon too, not had an update on him yet.
  10. Had a dream the other night I was stood at a railway crossing and the train that went through was a BR Lined Black version of the GT3 which was named Lawrence, I have no idea why. Maybe another idea for @KR Models fictional livery ideas, custom nameplated one would be nice, not going to lie, hehe

I don't normally dream about trains.

What had you eaten/drunk to bring on this dream?

      Nothing more than usual :scratchhead:

  11. What a handsome looking boi of an engine it is ♥
  12. These look fascinating...I do like the look of these. A little before my time, never rode on one but seen a few videos, theres one on youtube about their first day in service as a like, PSA type vid for tv. Think I might get one in blue..even though they dont quite fit my layout theme, maybe they came to visit. Now if only a manufacturer would make a class 506 EMU...
  13. Hi! I'm after obtaining a couple of locos...well, a fair few actually, and I believe this is the correct location to ask in a post. All engines are from the same family, so will put a list here and mark off ones that are obtained as and when! Please note, I am not looking to buy all these at once unless somebody (unlikely) has them all to sell in one go for a combo deal...I am more than likely to want to purchase these one at a time, I'm not Miss Moneybags sadly >.< If people have one they wish to sell, great! Message me please However if I have recently bought one, and I cannot afford the next offer at the time, please consider reserving it and I will purchase when I can. I will let you know in correspondence when that will be. If you do have one to offer, please provide dated images and a description of condition in a private message. Class 76/EM1s 2x BR Green 3x BR Blue 1x BR Black the as-preserved one Class 77/EM2s One of each of the 7 named engines 27000 Electra (BR Black) 27002 Aurora (BR Black) 27001 Ariadne (BR Green) 27003 Diana (Br Green) 27005 Minerva (BR Green) 27004 Juno (BR Electric Blue) 27006 Pandora (BR Electric Blue) I appreciate this is a long list but they are genuinely being sought after, and if people have them to sell and are unwanted, they will be going to a good home and will be loved and adored! ♥ Please message me to discuss!
  14. What rolling stock would have run with this engine? And/or what would look good running with it? What do people think? Not sure what to put behind mine when I get one. I'm thinking some wagons of some description, maybe coal trucks. Ideas?
  15. Placed my order for a BR Blue GT3 at the start of the month for some of the few still available, not sure how many are left now, but I'm really excited to get it - not sure when it will arrive in the post, theres some to order on Rails I believe it says November, but despite a few comments about how 'realistic' a fictional livery may look, I dont mind the yellow grills on the side so much. It matches the one on the front and the one on the roof, so I imagine they would have done it to keep consistent, along with the yellow lines on the side, it makes sense to me in its own way. Its a very handsome boi of an engine, I LOVE its design and it looks so good in the blue livery. The GT3 has such a sad story and its a shame it never got to live to see BR Blue as from this I think he would have fit right in...but it lives in model form now. Cant wait until it comes, gonna fit right at home, am an excited lass indeed ♥
  16. It was removed from the website for sale at the end of July I believe There was a newsletter put out a few months before stating that was the last date to order. Cant wait until my BR Black one turns up, very excited ♥
  17. Went with the partner to the NRM for first time in like, almost 15 years over last weekend. Much smaller than I remember it being. Still fun though. Got to see my profile picture in the flesh for one thing, which made me a happy lass :D

  18. Well, its been a while since I posted one of these. Update time, if anyone is interested. So, last time I left things off saying I wanted to do work with the Woodhead Route and its stock. That stills stands true, I do. But I've since then thought about expanding slightly into the realm of AU railways - which I know are popular, theres certainly room for a lot of speculative thought. What if it had expanded? What if these trains survived? And so on... And so with my recent ordering of things like KR Models BR Black Fell and GT3 - and also wanting to order the Rails/Heljan GT1 as I call it, the 18000, although I'm undecided if I want the Black or Late Crest Green...the lined Black would match with the Bachmann 10000 if I ever get my hands on one and fit in with the Fell and other things like the EM2s Electra and Aurora when I get around to ordering those, but Green would also go with some of the other EMs. I think Pandora is Green and another one, maybe Ariadne? Plus it just, looks nice. Anyway... But yes, I've fallen down that rabbit hole. All those engines did appear in this area at one time for sure. For example we know the Fell was in the now converted Manchester Central, albeit I think it was on fire, hope that doesnt happen to mine... So I've decided I'm going to make a 'What If?' railway with all of these and a few others. All of these locos I've mentioned had either short, interesting and/or quite sad lives with being around so briefly like the Fell, being deemed a failure and never given a chance like the GT3, or being taken too soon like the EMs due to reasons outside their control. So I'm going to give them a chance - although in model form - to live on and be given the time of day they deserve as interesting, fascinating little nuggets of railway history that they are. What if these engines survived? What if they kept working? What if they thrived? They all overlapped in some fashion across the late 50s through the 60s and to the early 70s - bulk it out with some other general things like an 08 or two, some class 37s, maybe a Hymek, some passenger Bubble Cars or early DMUs like a 101 and 108 perhaps, maybe squeeze in a class 128 DPU as they were just starting to come in, and theres a believable, living, breathing rail network and infrastructure working for the period. This also solves the problems of what to do with the 80s era and Railfreight stuff I've picked up - its just a future iteration of things running on the same fictional network. Plus those military trains, they just passin through. What about that class 17 and 06 shunter from up in Scotland? Coming to visit, obviously. Is it a mess? Yes it is. Is it focused and detailed? Not really. Is it realistic? Not even slightly. Am I happy? Absolutely. I've picked up some lovely thin wooden boards - I wanted a collapsing table of some kind like a pasting table to tidy away when I needed the floorspace but none of them were wide enough, although were long enough - to place onto the floor so nothing is running on the carpet, and some bundles of secondhand track I can clean up. Not completely planned the route out yet and the engine shed is nowhere near as populated as I would like it to be, but I've finally decided what I'm doing. Seems like a sensible first step, at least. How I'm going to do it is another step entirely and I'm still working that bit out.
  19. Those are some really cool photos! I love them. The GT3 has such a damn cool design, I love it.
  20. Can't wait for mine to show up Hes gonna be right at home in my shed of misfits and weird locos. Not sure if I want to run mine with coaches or trucks/wagons...
  21. As long as the general look/feel/style of the model is there - which it is - I...personally dont think it matters about if it has certain grilles on the body which/when and where for one year and not there the next or they were swapped and changed 5 years later its...still the general look and point of the model? As people have pointed out its inconsistently shown in photographs, technical manuals or the like with conflicting accounts and its just a general summarisation of what the engine 'is' and thats enough for me. You can look at it and know what it is, what its supposed to be. It looks like what I want, which is the Fell, the numbers' right, the body shape is identifiable, the wheels are all there (and we know people can put on or take off the coupling rods I believe so thats fine) and as long as it works and I know what it is thats good enough for me. It looks like a duck and it will (hopefully once I fix my controller) walk like a duck too. I'm happy that such a weird, different and unique loco thats no longer with us is being represented and made. Hes gonna fit right at home in my engine shed
  22. Agreed! Fictional liveries are really cool and interesting, would deffo be awesome to see one in Green or Blue like being proposed with the Clayton, although I know I'd personally get a Blue one ♥
  23. The Clayton has moved to the 'products' listed page available for people to put orders in it seems now on the website ^-^ I know I'm deffo gonna grab one, made up my mind with wanting the fictional BR Blue
  24. Now Im just picturing a disposal squad scene in some kinda action movie panicking over a model train with dramatic music...
  25. ahh that might explain why the email I sent via the website 'contact us' page probably didnt get answered and its been over a month, wasnt sure if on a break or something >_>
