You're right about the capacitor(s) - here they are inside a later model Electran; I took the lid off to replace the mains cable.

Good afternoon, and thank you for adding me to your community. My main interest is Triang TT, although I have dabbled with various guages and types over the years. My late father had a collection of 3-rail Dublo, some of which I still have. I've also (accidentally?) built up something of a collection of H&M lowline controllers :-) Picture shows a miscellany of items laid out on the dining table - my TT baseboard was under construction at the time.
