      This is sad. 40 years ago I would occasionally relieve Fred as SM at Cannon St, and the place was pretty ordered in those days. Busy-as-can-be in the peaks, dead as a dodo in between.

       

      This Privatised railway has a lot to answer for. Sigh.

    Can point motors be fitted to a turnout which is already laid and wired up?

      Yes. Tortoise motors - not the cheapest - simply require a hole for the actuating rod through the baseboard. Other similar brands may offer the same facility. Careful measurement and use of the provided paper template make this possible, but you are under the baseboard for a while!

      I think all media people need to be Mac users - it is the de facto worldwide standard format for them. The rest of us will continue to keep Mr Gates in profit.
