  1. Great stuff! Do you know which ones are mine?!!!!!
  2. The cakes look fabulous and the layout's aren't bad either. Unfortunately I'm currently laid low with man flu (had to miss out on a trip to Guildex at Telford because of it) but hope the show is a success. My layout Boston Frodsham is available (free of charge) for next year if you would like it.
  3. OK thanks for the info. I don'the wish to sound impatient but I just need a few more chairs and fishplates to complete the last siding on our club layout Invermire. I'll get some of the C&L ones for now.
  4. Is it possible to obtain parts from the Partnership?
  5. I notice that all the Exactoscale track components seem to have now been removed from the C&L website. I've looked on the Scalefour Stores website but can't seem to find any mention of them now stocking these items. Does anyone have any idea if they are currently available (I'm specifically after some 7mm scale 3 bolt chairs). I did put a post on the Scalefour Forum a few weeks ago asking Andrew Jukes what was happening with regard to 7mm track components but as yet have not had a reply.
  6. Does anyone know what is happening with regard to the 7mm scale range of Exactoscale track components?
  7. Following a fire at the Wiggins Teape works in 1982 resulting in it's closure for several months, temporary alternative markets were sought for the China clay. One flow which resulted from this was an order from Belgium which was exported through Boston Docks. This makes these wagons ideal for use on my Boston Frodsham layout which is part based on the entrance to Boston docks. So order placed for 2 wagons in early livery to run in consist with my clay tiger wagon.
  8. We used the hills and dales scene on our club layout Battersby North End some years ago (based on Battersby in North Yorkshire so quite appropriate). As you say it makes a massive difference to the layout and provides a great backdrop to photos.
  9. The water as shown is purely the result of Photoshop, I'm still pondering on how to model it. Whilst it does look very effective I doubt the River Witham would ever have looked so blue unless, as a friend has remarked, if there had been a leak from the local chemical works!
  10. I mentioned earlier that Phil Sutton "loaned" us one of his locos to run on Boston Frodsham at the weekend. Well on Sunday afternoon Phil did a photo shoot and these are the result (admittedly with a bit of improvement from Photoshop). Note to mods, I do have Phil's permission to post these.
  11. I'd just like to mention that I and the rest of the operating crew on Boston Frodsham had a fabulous weekend at the show. The layout performed really well and we were blown away by all the positive comments and feedback we received. Apologies if sometimes dealing with questions got in the way of the operating but there were obviously a lot of keen modelers in the audience. I'm sure some people will have scurried quickly past when they saw we were running those awful diesel things but hey ho. On the other hand, although not my modeling period I was delighted to be able to see the likes of Pulborough, Kettlewell and Lee on the Solent in the flesh. Thanks to Phil Sutton for the "loan" of one of his locos, they are certainly impressive models. Finally thanks to James and the rest of the organizing crew for their hospitality. I know from helping to organize our club's relatively modest open days that a lot of time and effort is involved and we should be ever grateful to these folk for giving up their spare time so that we can further enjoy our hobby.
  12. Many thanks. Yes there is a thread lurking on here somewhere but it hasn't been updated for ages (years). When I get this weekend out of the way I'll try to post some updates. Are you coming to the show? If so say hello!
  13. Cheers Yeah, complete with LED lighting!
  14. From the sublime of the likes of Pulborough, Clutton etc there will also be my (work in progress) layout Boston Frodsham. This is my first attempt at a P4 layout and my first time exhibiting at a society show so please go easy on me. Hope this doesn't deter too many people from attending what should be a great show which I'm really looking forward to!
  15. Whilst the locos are DCC (and sound fitted) the crane is just a static model (built from the Langley Models kit). I'm not clever enough to make it work! Not had the layout at the Stafford Show (yet). I was at the Pontefract Show in January with it. Did you see it there?
  16. As per Steve's list I'll be there with Boston Frodsham. Still a work in progress but at least some progress is being made! Looking forward to the weekend.
  17. Drat! Not going to be here in time for me to run on my layout at Scalefour North in April. Never mind I'm sure the wait will be well worth while.
  18. Put me down for some of these please.
  19. Excellent I'll be contacting Justin forthwith!
  20. Sean's been adding some more interior detail in the box. Firstly, having modelled the tablet machine he thought he may as well have the pouches to put them in, so; Comparison with the 5p coin shows that even in 7mm scale they are still quite small! Also he's put the signaller's coat and bag on a hook in the porch.
  21. My good friend Sean has been weaving his magic again, this time on the signal box. It's based on the box at Georgemas Junction (modified to suit the particular requirements of Invermire) and I may be biased but I think it's stunning. The interior details certainly reflect his time spent as a signalman.
  22. Well for what it's worth I placed an order online last Friday evening. Spoke with Phil on Monday morning and gave him my debit card details. Order arrived Wednesday morning. Can't really ask for better than that!
  23. Just borrowed the latest O Gauge Guild Gazette from my son Robert and love the photos of your layout in it. Good to see diesel era modelling getting some coverage. Sadly as a non member myself I can't post onto the Guild's forum (or even look at it!) so my praise will have to suffice here instead. Hopefully Rob will put a post onto the guild's forum. Keep up the good work and good to meet up with you at the Pontefract Show.
