So my Fiesta is faster than a fighter jet (if it's parked in a hangar)? :D

The citroen Ami today has an equivalent level of complexity. I just wish they were an actual car and not a quadricycle limited to 28mph.
My wife used to own a 2CV and many a time I had it off the clock which meant over 70. I once overtook a Ferrari on the M5. Felt I ought to have drawn a small Ferrari on the driver's door, like the fighter pilots did.
(The Ferrari was pootling in the middle lane, but I can still say I overtook one in a 2CV!!)

Electronics? Touchscreens? Remember when things were simple - to operate and mend?
My first car was a Mini Traveller. Two switches (one for headlights , one for wipers), heater, choke and the pushbutton on right for the screen washer. Dip switch was a foot operated button beside the clutch pedal.
Simplicity and it worked. As for navigating, there was (and still is) the good old road atlas.
My next car will be older, not newer. The downside will be that the seats will not be as comfortable for my ageing frame.

I have been continuing to get my collection of pre-Grouping road vehicles ready for the show in Crewe in June where I have been invited to demonstrate. In the meantime, I was invited to take some to Taunton recently for the SWAG RMWeb day. The photo shows less than half the collection.
My thanks to John Farmer (Re6/6) for the photo. I hope to see some of you at Crewe.- 5

Link direct to the page on the S4 website: https://www.scalefour.org/scalefournorth/ Yes, I know it says Scalefour North but it still gives the right details.

The popular Scalefour North has migrated to Scalefour Crewe on 3rd/4th June 2023 at Crewe Alexandra FC, Mornflake Stadium, Gresty Road, CW2 6EB
Details of what is on offer can be found here on the Scalefour Society website.- 1

I found this site in the US: Tin Soldier The models are 1:72 and there is, of course, international postage but they are relatively cheap. The kits are white metal but rough when compared with what we in this country have become used to. I have recently completed these Rolls Royces which took quite a lot of work, filing to clean up and thin down (eg rooves) and replacing things like windscreens with some I made from scratch.
You might also look at KW Trams who are in South London. They have Anbrico and ABS kits, some of which go back to the days of EAMES. Don't let Ebay tell you these are 'rare'!!
ANother point to be aware of - I recently ordered from Scalelink and a note in my packet said he is retiring in August 2023, so if you want any vehicles, don't delay. Most of the road vehicles are in these two sub-menus. Don't forget to click on 'View all' at the top of each lot or you may miss extra pages.
Could be an expensive read!!

I wrote to Dundas Models. They do not know anything about the road vehicles but said they would forward my enquiry to W^D Models. If I get a reply, I will let people know.

I am coming to this topic very late - I have been without an internet connection for several months.
There are many more vehicles than one might think and attached is a list of suppliers of pre-Grouping road vehicles. Unfortunately, I see W^D Models' website has disappeared and don't know if they are still in business. If they have gone, then it leaves quite a hole, especially in the lorry department.

Does anyone know what has happened to W^D Models - the producer of WW1 kits, not the model shop? Their website has disappeared.

Yes!! Annoying is putting it mildly. They are irrelevant and intrusive.
Sent an email to the administrators but not had a reply.
