  4. The Replica Railways website appears to have been down for at least the last couple of days. Anybody know what is going on?
  5. Doing my daily gaze at New Stock on the Hatton's website I notice a very large number of new Bachmann items, which I assume means that they are now back as friends again.
  6. I received an e-mail from Hatton's earlier this month advising me that delivery of the B4 was now May
  7. My Nelson arrived today, but with a big problem. I could not get the box out of the sleeve! After a few minutes of unequal struggle I finished up slitting the sleeve, lengthways! Engine fine and works very well!
  8. Just to echo the views here. I had two SR ladder home signals, one from a retail show and one arrived this week from a well know retailer in the north west. Neither worked. The first one once connected up made strange noises but the signal arm did not go up. Eventually a puff of smoke emerged from motor and that was it! The one from the north west retailer did not even do that, the LED came on but nothing at all from the motor, it has now gone back for a refund! I took the other one apart and again as posted previously I was was surprised and the very cheap way it was put together, little wonder it did not work. On the subject of Ratio signals, I have used these on several exhibition layouts and found them to work well. However, I have never used the cord and spring method, I have successfully adapted the wire in tube method, but under the baseboard. I even connected one up to a Peco point motor on an adapter base and that worked as well, (removed the spring from the Peco adapter base first).
