  1. Where can I find Part 1?
  2. Well done Hornby- Collett Bow Enders at last! I will be buying several in Great Western and hopefully later shirt button liveries. Could anyone knowledgeable in coaching matters indicate for my ( and probably many others too) benefit what the standard configurations were? I understand that Hornby is producing 5 types. Is it possible to put together a correct formation with 5 types and if not, what is still needed,? Perhaps we should start building comet kits now to " fill in". My recollection. Is that these coaches were used in the Bristolian and the Cheltenham Spa Express too. I have been surprised that no author ( other than Beckett- which is mighty complicated and detailed ) has produced a simple guide together of GWR/ WR standard coach formations for the modeler Regards Brian Patterson
  3. Does any one know whether it is possible to produce an accurate 1929 White Pullman using Hornby's Pullmans. I know that Keen sell a conversion for the earlier 1st class parlour cars but the range is limited and cannot produce the 6 coach formation. Regards Brian Patterson
  4. Has anyone tried to install a micro loksound decoder coupled to the DCC " stay alive" ? I suspect that I may need to mill some space in the die cast weight. I also want to connect the DCC concepts red working lamps in the top front and top back of the sentinel in the GWR shunting lamp position- so things may get a littletight! Any ideas/ advice gratefully received. Best regards Brian Patterson
  5. Well done Hatton's and Heljan! I have always been impressed by the quality of Heljan locos (albeit Diesels) and I am sure that the will do justice to the Beyer Garratt. I will order an LMS one with the revolving bunker ( now how does one get that to work?) and although I suspect it would never have come close to Bristol, this (like the Blue Pullman) is a must have loco. Now, can SWD produce a double sound decoder with approriate sound for this beast! What about a working revolving bunker DCC mechanism and a Seuthe smoke unit- no shortage of space! Hopefully it will be followed by a 47xx and a 72/42XX! Since it is a limited edition it will be a sell-out! BTW, has anyone put a micro loksound unit in the Dapol Sentinel? Regards Brian Patterson
  6. Hi John Just started usimg your kits and very impressed! For my money I would like to see: ! A proper large road/rail girder bridge to cross a large station eg Bishops road Paddington 2. a smaller 1900-1930 style cargo ship. 3 A Georgian tennement similar to those in London'Bath and Bristol ( an I'm sure elsewhere too!) Keep up the good work Brian Patterson
