    An embankment with a colliery building on? Search for Creech Bottom by James Hilton as the left hand side of his 009 layout does this beautifully.

    Luke, really like the looks of this. Your presentation is always super so I'm sure this will be too. One suggestion, if I may? Could you lengthen the front siding with the water tower and run it in front of the sector plate (which would be closed off by a backscene)? Something like this... the sector plate is behind the row of terraced houses.

    Question regarding the PLA Peckett. Does anyone know which colour it is? I'm wondering if Humbrol 15 (Midnight Blue) would be a good match?

    I personally wouldn't use the crane over the point either. A grounded van sounds a wonderfully suitable alternative. Looking good.
