My personal experience of this trader. I ordered and paid for two signs at Warley one year on the Sunday morning. Despite assurances, 5 hours later when I had to leave, they still weren’t ready. I was assured they would be posted on to me. I won’t bore you with the amount of emails I sent and phone calls I tried to make. I believe I did exchange one ordinary letter (ie I got one reply). Eventually, one year later, armed with my receipt, I managed to get a refund at Warley! I wouldn’t use them again.

He also popped up at Warley today, along with a very nice, 3D impression of the King. Looking forward to the real thing arriving. Talking to Dave, it’s all very imminent. Just need a few more people with the vision and the hunger!

Had the pleasure of seeing the painted examples of the 50 on Dapols stand at Warley today. Personally, I am very pleased to have ordered one of these, even if it’s stretching my modelling period to its extreme. It really captures the look for me. And that’s what N is all about for me. It’s about the overall impression, rather than the fine detail. Thank you Dapol.

Well done Dave. Got there despite the set backs. Orders placed without problem. Please can you just confirm that all other orders, expressions of interest etc over the past year or so for the King are cancelled and that only orders and deposits paid now through the Mk.3 web site will stand? It reads to me that Dave is referring to a Mk 3 website. I assume this is his label for a significant rebuild of the Mk 2, which wasn’t delivered in a usable format, which was supposed to replace the original that lacked e-commerce capability. I don’t think he’s referring to a third payment method.

That’s good to know as I remember having trouble quite a few years ago, when a previous tenant of the house I was renting had obviously been a bad boy. I always had problems when using the address for credit etc. and it all culminated in a police raid at 2 in the morning! Luckily I had a work ID handy to prove that I wasn’t who they were after. Never did find out what he had (allegedly) done.

Ultimately I guess, everyone is free to avail themselves of all the details and then choose whether or not they wish to partake in the venture. As a happy owner of a number of Dave’s Mermaids, I have chosen to order a King.

Just a thought, but isn’t it possible that they might be on holiday at this time of year?
