  1. This had slipped my attention until today. https://shop.keymodelworld.com/collections/limited-editions/products/pre-order-Hornby-crosscountry-hst-limited-edition-txs-sound
  2. Noticed that the coupling hooks on my AS Deltic have started to corrode. Checked other stock and AS 37s are starting to go the same way. No other stock affected. My layout is in a loft which is unheated so does get cold and humid. But that said it's only on my AS locos there is an issue and I'm sure I'm not the only one here with a loft/shed layout. Has anyone else noticed this?
  3. Very true and also arguably overkill for most situations stay alives excluded.
  4. On the flip side stay alive is not desirable for those with a large layout due to the voltage spike when you first power up the layout. See Making Tracks. All the stay alives trip their controllers out. Not sure how many is too many, but think about this. For me I can have say 30 locos on my depot, plus a few DMUs/EMUs in the carriage sidings and now even some of the coaches for example Mk5s, all trying to charge their stay alives at the same time. Not an issue currently as I have a limited number with stay alives fitted. Just AS ones basically. I have no running issues with locos not fitted with stay alives, even sound fitted.
  5. I think one of the downsides of the quarterly releases is people feeling disappointed over the choices. I guess if you rolled the whole year up into one list there would be more likely to be something of personal interest.
  6. History would tell us a new 66 will be along just before the AS one turns up. I'm hoping for the 170s or even a 69.
  7. Ultimate model railways still show Loadhaul sound ones in stock https://ultimatemodelrailways.com/products/cavalex-class-56-56055-load-haul-doncaster-dcc-ready?variant=40180993097893
  8. Same here. I'm on my home/gaming PC now but experienced exactly the same thing on my work laptop as well.
  9. It actually just did it in front of my eyes while I was typing the original response to this. Earlier today I'd left open this thread, ironically, along with the thread "when the real thing looks like a photo". Other tabs left open were variety of model railway suppliers, social media, pistonheads forum, youtube etc.
  10. Happened to me again today. Left Rmweb open in two tabs while at work, came home and Mcafee spam page loaded. The back history for the tab goes back to Rmweb in both cases. I left around 20 tabs open across two browser windows and the only ones affected are RMweb, so I am personally satisfied that it is an RMweb issue rather than malware installed on my machine (I have 15 years experience in IT so would like to think I am qualified to spot/resolve malware).
  11. This is only happening to me on Rmweb. Across two machines. No other websites. And only when the page is left open for a while.
  12. Are they definitely both Lima? They look to be made from different tooling
  13. I have had a potentially related issue happening via my work laptop. The work firewall blocks RMweb and flags it as potentially fraudulent after leaving the page dormant for a few minutes,
  14. Not totally surprised. I think their fractured relationships with RTR manufacturers over the last few years has cost them dearly. I used to be a loyal customer and would place all pre-orders etc with them. Since the 66 and break up with Bachmann and then Hornby I haven't really bought anything from them other than the occasional bargain or pre owned item of interest. Very sad news as I have used them since my childhood. Many hours spent looking through their listings in magazines.
  15. I have no issues with two 37s, three deltics and a 92. Some factory fitted, some I have added AS decoder and speaker to DCC ready. It's interesting how some owners have the issue and some don't, there must be another variable at play that coupled with the speaker design causes the issue. Logically a layout variable if people either have issue with all or none of their AS models.
  16. I’ve bought 5 from the second batch to go with the 7 I had from the first batch. All of the ones from the second batch have warped walkways. While it is visible if you look for it, personally I find it doesn’t detract from running the models.
  17. Has to be express (with CT branding? Kill two birds...!), I will buy one provided the marker lights are tooled as discussed in other thread recently
  18. That will do it for me! Will deffo buy at least 1 Express liveried. Maybe a CT green. And maybe a provincial if you re-run with the above new features.
  19. Regional Express is a must buy for me too. Central Trains branding and Nottingham on the blinds please! 😇 Especially if you can tool the original marker lights correctly this time round. I have an EMT one but the lighting config put me off a provincial one.
  20. I’ve just done one of mine with the illuminated models lighting kit, which includes a decoder socket to make any future decoder swaps plug and play. Recommend looking into it as the original light bulbs are not great on DCC. They get very hot.
  21. @McC has all the stock been released via the AS website now?
  22. My flange squeal definitely doesn't work either. This is a DCC ready 37423 where I have fitted the AS sound decoder and accurathrash speaker myself. Checked the switches. Presssed F11, run through some medium points and double slip, and nothing.
  23. I haven't yet been able to get the flange squeal to work on mine after fitting the AS sound chip. Will do more testing, but so far have ran through various medium and long Peco points and some curves.
