  1. The thing I notice at the moment are:- a) Since making the through line you have no station buildings, which looks odd given the size and number of platforms. B) The passenger access, by car or bus, to the station is very limited. How about converting the steep ramp into a split level Station with the bridge road where the plank is. Then add some bus bays to the road? To finish make the corner show some low reflief houses and shops to imply to town centre is over there?
  2. THanks for the links. Looks like my Christmas list is about to fill up!!
  3. Can you post a link to some suppliers please, as I am keen to get some of these? Thanks
  4. Ooh, card rolling stock. That would be perfect for me.....Google time!!!
  5. Very nice. You've done nearly my entire wish list - Gives me something to aim for!
  6. Count me in for this. Heavy industry always makes a great battle field. PS I'm a wargamer not a railwayer so don't panic!
  7. Looking very good. One method for determining the height of grass and weeds is to consider where there will be activity (people, cars, trespassers, etc) and where there won't. The weeds will be shorter where there is more activity, longer and more varied in less active areas. Thinking along these lines should give you some 'cut through' paths where people regularly walk and some seriously overgrown areas where they don't.
  8. Looks very good. One thing you may want to consider is some form of shelter over the platforms. They are very long and passengers would appreciate a bit of cover from the typically erratic British weather Finally, your Scalescene containers have convinced me. Time I bought some in N gauge!
  9. Looking good. One observation - litter bins on platforms? Not a single one on Derby station!
  10. A couple of ideas struck me when loking at this again today. 1 - Access from car park to the station. You could use the space by the ramp as an access path. A bit of a muggers paradise but provide some lights and they'll be fine! It might mess up you grass bank though 2 - A private, railway workers car park. Gives you an excuse for lots of signs (Private, Wheel Clamping, etc) and access can be via a locked gate/turnstile. Also means the car park can be 'a bit rough' and not nicely marked.
  11. I guess I better find out the weathering powders and paints!
  12. Personally I'm not a railway man; more a wargamer. But I'm moving into 12mm modern wargames, so more urban modern N gauge for me please. And the footie stadium idea would be great!
