Firsthand experience that the NHS is this country's most valuable asset.Instead of getting Easter eggs I got multiple heart attacks, which came as a bit of a shock as up to now my health has been excellent. After a few additions to the plumbing of the ticker I'mnow firmly on the road to recovery. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I got in Southampton General Hospital given by people from all four corners of the globe, all diamonds in the crown that is the NHS

That sinking feeling you get when...
You know it's bin day, the leaflet says it's bin day, the website confirms it's bin day but the road is empty and you're the only person putting your bins out.

Does anyone else frequently find themself spending longer (sometimes a lot longer) searching for something eaten by the Carpet Monster than it would have taken to make a replacement part?

Sometimes it's best not to write about your issues in a public place.

I think it is partly the nature of some younger people, these days especially, to 'wear their hearts on their sleeves'. This is, of course, mostly down to the effects of instant communication via social media, something that just didn't exist when I was younger and that is something I am grateful for, because (apart from RMWeb and similar fora), I am absolutely not tempted at all to join Facebook and all the other platforms. For me, there is no 'FOMO' in that respect.

Do you have a topic page for your S&D branch?
-
In the past, I used to have my own website, which had separate pages for both Engine Wood and Bleakhouse Road, but it grew too expensive to keep going, so we stopped it.
I've just put another photo up in the 'Realistic Modelling' section. This one is from the side not normally seen at exhibitions (I had taken the backscene down in order to get some 'different' photos).
