  1. Have 4' radius points on my loco and 33's have no problem with them.
  2. Definately two threads so here is my two penneth worth. Hobbs Warren
  3. Will be trundling down from Cambridgeshire with Hobbs Warren. 0 gauge not oo as in listing under Weymouth exhibition
  4. I have been watching these posts with interest as many of my locos have westinghouse sound ie J15 J69 J39 B12 D16 B17 L1 etc etc. I would to like to know how to link the sound to the end of the braking on the Zimo decoders. It must be possible as I have it on the Coastal DCC J15 chips on esu lok sound v4s. If they can produce the brake sound when bringing a loco to a halt then it must also be possible to link in the westinghouse brake on the Zimo however the Coastal J15 Zimo chip does not have this feature. So if all else fails Coastal DCC J15 on loksound chip Terry
  5. Yes I do mean address number. Try disabling M4/Railcom and try again. Railway modelling is fun ??? THis is under set up 1 on the rail icon 5th down make sure all But DCC is un ticked
  6. Are you changing the loco number or using one already entered by some one else. I have found that the ECoS has a wierd thing about saving an existing number. My way round this has been to under manual options to alter the number by one and save, then alter it back to the original and save. Hope this helps Terry
  7. Don't knosw if this helps brown colour is a mixture of track colour and sleeper grime with a little dry brushing of mat black Regards Terry

Hows this for service. 1600 22/12/16 Tower rang to say its on its way. 15.30 23/12/16 Arrived on time. 1600 23/12/16 ordered chip from digitrains 0830 24/12/16 chip arrived 1st recorded. Thanks to all those involved. Now to turn 3219 into 3130 of March 31B but meanwhile it runs sweet as a nut
  10. Arrived today. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is probably a duck.
  11. Yup 50200 on Hobbs Warren and Warren Hill. We get quite a few interested parties around the back at times. So much easier to operate with a large loco stack than any other system we tried.
  12. Hi J19 will produce a reasonable offering with a bit of work. In my case it was a purchase early on and a new cab etch was required from the original supplied to be able to complete a B R version. This meant a bit of a fiddle in the cab area as the new etches and existing parts did not marry to well. I still have the tender etches as the one supplied was for the tender with water pick up and the coal space among other bits and bobs is different. This is not a problem just pick your loco as some ran with the water pickup tenders from the D16's with the device removed. Plans from The GER society are reasonably priced and a good bet. Overall would I buy an ACE kit again, yes and have done so. As mentioned elsewhere the proprietor is very helpful and will supply tenders as a separate item if required. Terry

    Falcon in 7mm

The 4XL chip fits nicely as the mounting holes match with those that are used to hold the circuit board which is removed. The speaker housing area is designed to fit the 40mm speaker and housing, it being held in place by the fixing screws. Only problem I had was having to move the fan circuit board to one end as it fouled the 4 XL (not a problem really as there was sufficient wire to allow for this). The fan operates at a reasonable speed and relatively quietly all round well done Heljan

    Falcon in 7mm

Hi, Coastal DCC supplied my chip has a nice touch whereby rear lights are switched out (Aux 1 and Aux 2) by one function switch and Aux 3 forward and Aux 4 reverse are switched by another.

My Lime green example arrived safely from Tower with no damage at all. Loco needs careful removal from box as lamp irons are tight against the packing. ( I have shaved a little off ) Now fitted with sound, rear lights are switchable via CVs rather than the under body switch and the cab lights are independently switched to. Tried a loksound 4L not man enough needs the XL IMHO. A very heavy model even by Heljan Standards.
  16. 1.27 allen keys can usually be found via your (favorite?) auction site. I have not checked recently but that was my last source of supply.
  17. Its a model railway and/or a collection of what we like so the numbers are irrelevant. For the record my collection of Shunter's? consists of DY1 Hunslet x 1 - 03 x 2 - 04 x 2 - 08 x 1 - 10 x 1 - 11 x 1 - J65 x 2 _ J67 x 4 - J68 x 2 - J69 x 6 - J72 x 1 - J94 x 1. Can they all fit on the layout at the same time No ! Am I likely to build more Yes. Its a hobby after all
  18. I fail to see how a piece of standard model railway equipment can be described as awsome

....in the same way that an Allegro 1750HL was described as awesome.

Very good, perhaps, but generally; hyperbole best avoided in most adult, non-satirical situations. :-)

  19. I stopped attending this event for this and other valid reasons. Had a good day at Chelmsford MRC and treat Spalding as the Premier event for this area. Terry
  20. I have an O gauge rail bus, the drive is supplied by an XO4 motor in a cut about Triang Jinty chassis. The original gears are mounted on a O gauge wagon wheel set with brass tube spacers between chassis block and wheels.. As it only has to pull itself no problems of traction exist with a lightweight body. Terry

A lovely job, but for those without the drawing ability etc Laurie Griffin does 3 chimneys for the Ivatt 2MT All the best Terry
  22. I am still a modeller but my model railway has become a collection. Hey Ho

  23. Heljan 31 is on the way.
