  1. Hi All, I would also like to congratulate Revolution for the research and design they have done for the Class 59. (And even more for the upcoming Class 66). The work has resulted in an absolutely stunning model. I have several CJM 59s that have served me well over the years but the Revolution models are so much better. The detail and overall execution of the model is superb. The 2 that I collected at Glasgow are beautiful runners, very quiet and smooth. I am really delighted with them and can’t wait for the 59/1s to arrive. Once again, Thank you Revolution for producing these excellent models cheers, Ged.
  2. Hi All, My set has arrived and I am delighted with them. Stunning coaches with beautiful and finely detailed livery. It is great to finally run a rake behind my TPE 68. Smooth running axles and my loco pulled them along with ease. Once again, a big thank you to Revolution. cheers, Ged.
  3. Hi, I would also be interested and would probably go for 10 of each. cheers, Ged.
  4. I was hoping to receive news of my set as we have an area group meeting on Sunday and I would have liked to show them off! No delivery info from Royal Mail though. cheers, Ged.
  5. Clearly, it was a website problem! It seems to be sorted now. Cheers, Ged.
  6. Hi All, Several Class 158s and 47s have disappeared from the Bachmann website. is this just a problem with their website or have they realised they cannot deliver this year? Tis a mystery! cheers, Ged.
  7. Kernow Model Centre are still taking preorders cheers, Ged.
  8. Eleven car Avanti with full train livery arrived yesterday. I think these Pendolinos get better and better! Straight out of the top quality boxes it runs smoothly and quietly. The power cars are very powerful and the significant weight, coupled with traction tyres, means they can handle anything. This is my fourth Pendolino and I think it is the best. The detail throughout the train is exquisite and it has a real presence on the layout. It looks beautiful with superb and truly well executed livery. As with the others, the lighting in the first class coaches is an added bonus. All together, the best train on my layout and with the size on my collection, that is saying something! Thanks, once again to all at Revolution!!!! Ged
  9. All mine run as smooth as silk as well. Beautiful models with excellent detail and printing. Another success for Revolution!! I’ll add my thanks to Ben, Mike and the Team. cheers, Ged.
  10. I am delighted with these sleeper coaches. The detail and quality is of a very high standard and the printing is superb. As has been said, the close coupling is excellent and I love the lighting. Like others, I have experienced problems with drag making it difficult for a loco to pull 6 coaches. However, I have discovered that you only need power pick ups on one bogie per coach to make the lights work. So, I removed the contact tags from one bogie per coach, ensured the other bogie did not drag and as a result the whole rake runs freely with no problems. (This is on DC. Not sure of the implications for DCC). Cheers, Ged.
  11. The short couplings are Graham Farish and they really improve the rakes. They work well on gentle and tighter curves. To ensure they stay coupled I paint them with some matt acrylic paint to remove the shine. They are sold in bags of 20. cheers, Ged.
  12. I Agree, These wagons are exquisite! The detail and quality of the printing is superb. Colour rendition is excellent and they run beautifully. There is a plethora of fine detail and the very small mounting pins hold the containers securely. Top marks in every way. I have used short couplings instead of those provided and it has considerably improved the look of the rakes. Ged.
  13. Thanks Robert, Looking forward to it as usual, although the RMT action has made it challenging to get home to the North East. Cheers, Ged.
  14. Thanks Adam, A good buy then, cheers, Ged.
  15. Will one of the locos in the Twin Set be a dummy? Cheers, Ged.
  16. Yahoo!! 9 car Avanti has arrived! Looks absolutely superb and runs beautifully straight from the boxes. Amazing!! Right up there with the quality of the first run, if not better. Excellent execution of the livery. Thanks Revolution. Delighted!! Ged.
  17. Hi, For those who couldn't get to the show, and for those who did, I have put together a comprehensive video of The Long Hirston Modules in action. Cheers, Ged.

  21. My consignment has just arrived. Poor postman had to carry the large parcel on his walking round. No idea why they didn’t use the normal van delivery. Absolutely fabulous models, a usual. Can’t wait to run them later today. Once again a HUGE thank you to Ben, Mike and Mike. Looking forward to Glasgow Exhibition as well. Cheers, Ged.
  22. Hi All, i purchased and fitted some washers from Maxwells and it stopped the wheels rubbing on the bodies. The brakes on the wagons still caused a dragging problem on corners so I removed all the brakes. They just clip out of the bogies. The wagons now roll completely freely and there is no difficulty in locos pulling a long rake. Cheers, Ged.
  23. Hi Ben, These models look amazing and the detail is superb! Looking forward to seeing them all at TINGS and eventually operating them on Leefield & Ashpeth. All the Best, Ged.
  24. Sorry Stu, I think it must be the whole batch. I have just inspected mine and it has the same fault. Oh Dear!! Ged.
  25. Is there any news on these sets? I was surprised when the other HSTs and Mk3s arrived that these were not included. Cheers, Ged.
