  1. Maybe so, but since when have posters to this thread been required to post only legally accurate and measured assessments of what they see on Ebay? This is the "Ebay Madness" thread after all and is supposed to be fun but if you're going to object to hyperbolic descriptions of the tat this thread deals with then we might as well all go home.
  2. Yes, you've made that point before and as I said at the time, I think you've missed the point of this thread...and the reality of whether someone is forced to buy this stuff or not isn't it. Oh, and the snarky name-calling is out of order and immature coming, as it does, from an administrator who presumably would have something to say to others who did the same!
  3. Here's another one of his efforts: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166107975935?hash=item26acce90ff:g:aRMAAOSwEYJkDJ2b He clearly uses a pumice stone to sand down his coach sides and this one's been primed over the top of the original lining and lettering. He's either blind or a spectacularly incompetent modeller. Then there's this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166202719139?hash=item26b2743ba3:g:WKkAAOSwJptj-0s8 which looks as if it's been made out of a shoebox.
  4. That takes a professional level chiseller!
  5. Even if it does sell on the basis that maybe the buyer's eyesight isn't up to the job of noticing the extent of the cr@ppiness, they surely will when it turns up on their doorstep! Then our chummy will be faced with a humiliating refund on the grounds that the thing's complete junk! His description signally fails to mention the fact that it's been stripped and sanded down by being dragged along a wall.
  6. I think he should be told! Just so that he knows he's been rumbled as such. 😉
  7. How anyone can think that's acceptable baffles me. They're both wrecks! The pro weathering bit is hilarious! (Judging by the quality of the "weathering" I reckon that's a lie but if it isn't this guy needs to be asking for a refund). As if that makes up for the brutality that bodyshell has endured.
  8. It'll never catch on.
  9. COR! That's useful!🤪
  10. An Italian chiseller: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295809154827?hash=item44df997f0b:g:jK8AAOSweppkpuEW&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwDS0uvBiLEkCKx82kN5c6YxcSkDXHgD4iVMowBkOaKK5RLvXVOaMRC7MACenp3vqEEqNcPTHHaTg0NUPZY%2FMpnFIzRUjlXPFuffDzGAJ1jcOtmzMTOMtjj%2BPHIzQJdulqVTVv1luZxgS63cJo2tNb01WKXnUNDHmtz4RStBEsB0bkpgIZ3JnxZtMTuhJCBiX4gqIgthDUSYzSajBT3hVGRGAc9%2FytqQAcjjqx8ro3spObunWlPRNRf5FAlLWmUVHsQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_aCjseoYg I got that coach from a German dealer for almost exactly half that amount and it's available in a set with two matching RIC saloons for about EUR240.
  11. I simply cannot wrap my head around that sort of stupidity. These guys must have had the collective IQs of a bowl of soup.
  12. Many years ago I scratchbuilt an LMS Stove R for someone. When it was finished I posted it to him wrapped in bubble wrap. When it arrived it had those little circular marks all over the paintwork. The paintjob was a write-off so I had to take it back, strip it down and repaint it. That was a painful experience.
  13. Sounds like our chummy!
  14. Just the thing to go with your vertical record player!
  15. Nice one! But I wish they'd left more than half a second between picture cuts. I got dizzy watching that!
