  1. Hi Jason The S versions followed the same tried and tested system of two chassis beams and cross pieces except for the sw1500 which had fold up chassis because we had to use Stanton trucks to power it. Judging by an old email the S scale kits were Half hard brass, 0.015” thick Colin
  2. Hi Ian I did some work with Mike on the S scale versions of the kits and have instructions for the some of the kits but not the u33c. Mike’s u boat kits follow the same principles which would give you a start. Also Century Models on Shapeways has a nice replacement low nose. Colin
  3. I picked up one of those trucks on eBay UK a few weeks ago with a damaged box for £17.50. Must get round to building it. Here is a little inspiration of something similar.
  4. Hi Jason I stumbled on a P48 Rich Yoder S12, couldn’t resist. Think it would make a nice SOO 313 Colin
  5. If anyone wants to acquire some S scale for Jason’s decals I know where some could be had. It’s been ousted by a planned arrived of some P48 Colin
  6. Kevo Jack (Shortliner) sadly passed away a couple of years ago. I suspect he did make the layout fit the box as that would have been part of his design challenge. I remember he had his fiddlestick layout at the Hopeman show, one year. Colin
  7. It might be something that the North British Railway society has. Colin
  8. Excellent article and photos, nice work Colin
  9. Hi All Im looking for recommendations for a paint match for Pennsy Dark Locomotive Green? Thanks Colin
  10. Hi Jordan Just to cheer you up, I sold a pair of them recently and I believe that’s the ones that were on eBay - thought they were too modern for you otherwise you’d have had first refusal! Colin
  11. Sorry to hear the news, hopefully it will pass quickly with better times ahead soon Colin
  12. Simon The layout looks terrific Colin
  13. I found out about the decal sets as Bill Yancy had a photo in the O Scale resource and in the bottom corner there were two switchers one in each scheme. Question was asked and hey presto - Bill has decals and didn’t mind shipping them over here The decals are printed by MicroScale and very nice too Two sets of the red and white ones cost $30 including shipping Colin.
  14. They also have some really nice decals for the red and white scheme as well as the switcher black and gold scheme. Colin
  15. Search u tube for “Langholm Train” there are two videos of the branch, one features, a class 20 running long hood forward from Longtown to Langholm Colin Stewart
