Can anybody tell me where I can source a chimney for a rebuilt West Country in OO please?
I’ve sourced a body but it came without a chimney and when I’ve searched the usual suspects on t’web I can’t find anything, even the wonderful Albert Goodall draws a blank.
Any help much appreciated, thanks.

Does anyone have any experience of Genesis kits, please?
The proprietor died earlier this year, and I'm meeting his widow in a fortnight to see if I can be of any help in finding new homes for his models (many built from his kits, I'm told). This is at the request of a friend.
I have had built an Original West Country Class from one of the Genesis kits. The castings are Pewter.
With a few extra detailing parts which are readily available, it has turned out to a lovely model of 'Yeovil'.
If there was another one of the West Country kits available, I would be very interested.
Cheers, Ian

Having made progress with this build and approaching the painting stage , I have a few furher questions ..
* What livery (colour) was this loco painted in it's BR days ??
* Although hard to believe, was it lined ?? and if so what colour and where ?
* Did it carry and lettering , eg Departmental etc,etc ?
* Did it carry it 's number ?
Any photos would be a real bonus ..
Many thanks, Ian

Information from: Bulleid Power - The 'Merchant Navy' Class by A J Fry (Alan Sutton Publishing, 1990):
A large cover, the width of the coal bunker, completely enclosed the vacuum cylinders.
Tender No.3124 (running with 35013) was modified this way in December 1952. Tenders 3122 (35012) and 3121 (35011) were modified in the same manner.
Regards,
Glenn
Perfect, thank you very much for this information ....
Will post a couple of photos when model is complete ..
Cheers, Ian

Hello,
Hoping someone can help with any of the following ...
I am hoping to build from a DJH 4mm kit, one of the BR 9F's that were shedded at Eastleigh .. 92239 ...
I am trying to find information on the details of the AWS system, a diagram of a location of where the components were fitted and any Pipping details etc
Are these parts availale in 4mm ?
92239 was a Double Chimney version, where can I obtain a 4mm 9F Double Chimney, preferably in Brass ?
Details of the SR/BR Lamp Irons fitted to these locos ?
Did the 9Fs carry a worksplate, and where was it located ?
All help gratefully received ,
Ian
