  1. Hello, I wonder if anyone can help answer a question regarding certain GWR/BR Peckett locos ? Are Loco's 1143 & 1145 originally Swansea Harbour Trust and the Powlesland & Mason locos 1150 -1152, the same type/model of Peckett ? If they were the same type, were there any recognisable differences between the two Company's locos ? I am trying to model in 4mm an accurate mode of 1151, any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ian

  10. Well, thought it would be nice to post a couple of photos of the finished 'Hercules' ....
  11. I doubt this little loco BR Number 1 'Hercules' ever went through Little Bytham. Comments welcome ....
  12. Try again .... please ... As Yeovil is actually being modelled at present, but would love Bideford Good price paid if a Westward W/C kit suddenly become available
  13. I know the setting is not realistic, but I thought the weathering work on this model was worthy of placing on here ...
  14. Something a little different, took the decision to have a pristine out the box DP1 weathered professionally. I am very pleased with the outcome ....
  15. This just has to be commented on, Ordered a fair amount of 'Bulleid' West Country parts on Thursday evening, arrived in the post this morning (Tuesday). Outstanding Customer Service - thank you very much ... Cheers, Ian Bradford No excuse for not getting on and hopefully creating 34004 Yeovil with Long Smoke deflectors etc, to join her sister 'Bude' attached.

  18. A couple of pretty poor photos of the next two 'Judith Edge' kits to be built ... Excuse the photos, they look much better in 'OO' real life ! On to the next ones now ....... 2 x Class 17's .....
  19. Think the detailed Class 08, 40, 47 kits were Modern Outline Kits, also produced the Class 14 . Dave Alexander also I believe produced a kit for Hawk ..10800 A fell kit and a Bullied Shunter 11001 s also produced by Judith Edge kits.
  20. Obviously not Rapido, but a 'kit' built 15xx already work stained .....
  21. Firstly thanks to everyone for the information and directions, all gratefully accepted. I still need a little help regarding the various castings, I would like to use brass/metal castings if available ? Thus more information on what type / size etc of Chimney, Dome, Salter Safety Valves, Tank Filler, Whistle, Smokebox door, toolboxes etc,etc Then hopefully I can try and source these ... Thanks again,
  22. Hello, I have acquired a 4mm set of Etches to build the Johnson Midland Railway class 1134 0-4-0ST, I am hoping to build a loco that lasted into BR service, eg 41518 or 41523. My lack of knowledge means I have ta ask the following 'maybe' basic questions, apologies. * What Castings will I require, for example what type of Chimney , Dome, Sand boxes , Whistle. etc, etc .. * What are the size of wheels I require and the number of spokes ? So basically I am asking for a list of Castings required, and from where I might be able to purchase these ? All help gratefully received, many thanks, Ian
  23. It is disappointing for us mere mortals who are not in the 'friends' clique ! Why not offer to your friends before placing a post saying a list will be put up soon .... just a thought !
