  1. Would be good to see them! I will have the Burnham & District one somewhere but it might be tricky to find it in the many boxes of them. Thanks for the extra details regarding the EKMRS ones though... I think they may actually be the ones I am missing. Ramsey's guide does have a few errors in it but it is useful as a good starting block and interesting reading!
  2. From the ones I have (details plus one or two I missed - listed in Ramsey's 9th edition), there was at least the following: OO Dapol: B147 12T Planked Double Vent van number 3 (ex-Mainline, 1984) 12T Single Vent Van 'Shepherd Neame & Co No. 1 - Cream (of 236) East Kent MRS (2009) 12T Single Vent Van 'Shepherd Neame & Co No. 9 - Red (of 129) Burnham & District (2015) BR Ventilated Van (ex-HD/Wrenn) No.3? (of 400) for East Kent MRS (2002), van no. 3? OO Bachmann: 38-375U12T Vent Van, Shepherd Neame & Co No.4 - Cream (of 504) Erith MRS (2014) 38-375Z 12T Vent Van, Shepherd Neame & Co No.3 - Cream (of 504) Erith MRS 50th (2012) OO Mainline: 37413 12T Double Vent Van, Shepherd Neame No.3 - Cream (1981-1983) N Peco: 10ft Refrigerator Box Van (1971) No.3 - Cream The Hobby Shop (2015) Not sure I've ever seen the Erith MRS ones, so will keep eyes open for them at shows. I think Robbies Rolling Stock also did it in his range, though much fewer quantities... a great source of specials in that range though! HTH, Ixion.
  3. Absolutely fantastic model! I have waited for D9016 in purple after pondering the Lima one from a while back... but when Accurascale announced it I was really pleased, so placed my order. I have yet to run it but I did go whole hog and went for DCC Sound... so really looking forward to running it and hearing the model in full form. My only recollection was seeing it at Overton on the Basingstoke to Salisbury line for the one and only time in my life after having seen photos and thinking I would never see it at all. It was running light loco behind a steam railtour, I believe as a support loco. My photo of it was clear and it really made my day as I didn't even know it was coming! So, to have a such a special model of that particular loco helps sustain that happy memory, so a sincere thank you to Accurascale.
  4. I feel more of a Sesame side... <growly voice mode ON> "Meee waaaant deeeeeltiiiiiiiic" "Om num num num num!" <growly voice mode OFF> "num num num num..."? Oh 'eck, I've only got two 'num's on order! 🤣
  5. Hi Fran / AS team, I've just searched for photos of 37402 and see they show an orange socket to the left of the headlight... then I noticed it on the model in yellow. I don't know whether it was ever yellow but I guess something being corrected if not? Either way I was really taken by this one... so got my order in early - not going to miss this one 😀
  6. Top marks to the person who bought the model and laughed when he showed the internals - true sense of humour there! Not very impressed by the lack of checks done by the supplier though. In fairness, maybe just a one off case, done on a Friday afternoon and the sun was out... might make them more rigorous next time?
  7. In for a penny... My guess (loco wise) is the Class 20. Why? Lots of different liveries, plenty of different variations, they worked with coal trains ('Powering Britain')... stick them on their cab ends on the table the they will make a fine pair of Accu-pepper-pots too for the rest of the family! 😉
  8. This YouTube video shows two being fitted on the cut down HYA, around the 2 minute mark: Video showing battery fitting near start... HTH, Ixion.
  9. Great picture there, aeroplane! That would make the 31 something else in a dark model scene... which is when they often run (and the lights are so much more visible).
  10. I trust they will stick to being accurate and use: 1. Ultra-violet LED's for some of the front mounted lights 2. The front observation camera will really work for a remote, realistic in-cab experience 3. The camera can be cleaned with a moving windscreen wiper Now, I would normally be joking about 2 and 3 but 2 has become quite the 'thing' for some modelers but 3... yes, but we are talking Accurascale here... 😃
  11. I took this to mean D9002 and 55002 - both specials for Rails and Locomotion. They have different details, e.g. no high intensity headlight per the 1980's loco (55002) and with high intensity headlight as preserved (D9002). Otherwise, I don't see any repeats. I am perhaps surprised to not see D9016 in an earlier service livery but then I really like the Porterbrook livery as it is the only Deltic I have seen out on the mainline light loco, acting as a chase/support loco for a steam charter on the Basingstoke to Salisbury line (at Overton).
  12. I remember seeing a pair (if I remember rightly) on a railtour many years back that coupled up at Didcot, then powered along the line to Oxford and beyond. The only other times were up at North Pole at the Eurostar Depot in passing. Either way, their curiosity has me and if they did the special coupling adapter stuff on the front, even better!
  13. True but even then it can just sound too identical and the mind soon picks up on the repetitive nature. In a way you need one loco's decoder to be set to use a slightly different set of sounds to the other. It would mean making two recordings of probably two different locos, storing them in the same memory but allowing a CV setting perhaps to choose which of the two is referenced by each loco whilst both are operated in the same consist... Or as you rightly say, three recordings... Or maybe even four if you count top 'n' tail double heading!!! Or... you could just opt for a single 37 and make it really, and I mean really, plough that field on volume setting 11 of 10... I'm sure the team at Accurascale have already put in a volume setting of 11??
  14. They're doing the 37/6's but I wonder if the EPS variant with ring emblems is on the cards... But I guess they have to wait until they've announced the rolling stock first... The 37/9's would be great, though personally perhaps not 37905 & 37906 as I already have the Kernow / Bachmann pair from a while back. I remember seeing and hearing this monsters! In my view, it would also be good to see more of the Europhoenix livery locos, especially with all the dragging/scrap train work they have been doing as of late, allowing a real mix of off-region electric units on a GWML scene layout!!! Perhaps the only thing I would like to hear is for two locos in multiple to somehow have de-synchronised sound, so it does not sound like it's down a drainpipe when working in consist. Short of buying sound from two different suppliers, I have never heard of it being done on a production model and I am sure it must be possible to do so, with the 37 being a fine loco to have this feature. Just imagine the double thundering sound they could create - maybe Accurascale could be the first with this innovation? The Accurascale NR 97301 looks absolutely superb - now I can't wait for them to arrive. Cheers, Ixion.
  15. Hi Dicky L, On page 3 of this thread, McC says: "The sound model includes two speakers (a large bass and small cube), a PowerPack Super capacitor and a (new version) Loksound chip. The DCC Ready model will include ample space to fit your own speakers should you prefer (thanks to the Tungsten Alloy die cast chassis) but we feel that £90 represents great value for money for the sound pack considering you get two speakers, the powerpack and a loksound ready to go! " So, I think the answer is no speakers are fitted for the DCC Ready model. I have to admit, the specifications on the product pages are slightly ambiguous but I think intend to mean you only get a speaker if you buy the sound fitted ones. Accurascale Fran, et al, please correct me if I'm wrong! Hope that helps? Ixion.
  16. Hi Mike, I wasn't sure which e-mail to use but I have just done so, using both: info@revolutiontrains.com orders@revolutiontrains.com ... the latter being a reply to the receipt e-mail. Kind Regards.
  17. Hi Ben, Thanks for the reply - I expected things were a bit hectic with the show at the weekend. Can you tell me how I can change the order? I had to assume the sets were TP01 and TP02... but my choice was one of the two that came past the GWML on their trip up North. Hence, I was after either TP09 or TP06... so TP09 is my preference of the two (TP04/TP09). Given the order had to be placed within the deadline, I ordered Pack 1 (thinking it would be the first of the sets, TP01). Do I need to cancel the current order and if so, how do I do that? I see the other one is still available to pre-order... so can get in quick...
  18. Anyone? Appealing to anyone who may know... 50 minutes until the deadline closes and despite a very deep search, the ID's of the two TPE Mk5a units are still apparently unknown. Thanks, Ixion.
  19. Help please! With today as the quoted deadline for orders of the Mk5/5a coaches, does anyone know which Mk5a Nova3 sets are being produced? I cannot find any reference on here, on the Revolution website or response to queries... though I expect Model Rail Scotland has taken focus so not complaining there, but I hope someone knows? Thanks, Ixion
  20. Hi Ben/Mike/Revolution, As the Mk5/5a deadline is approaching very fast (28th Feb 2022, according to the Projects page), has it been decided yet which unit numbers are being produced for the Mk5a TPE units? I gather Accurascale's are to be TP01 and TP02 but are Revolution's N-gauge ones the same? I really want to get one but would to like make a choice that best suits me. Thanks in advance, Ixion.
  21. ... and several Diesel Hydraulics were also Swindon built too!!! I am so pleased the flange squeal is to be linked to curves for automatic sounding - always thought this was overdue by someone... great to see it being included now - so, well done Accurascale for doing so. Will the sound equipped options/prices be added soon? Cheers, Ixion.
  22. Wow! Only went off to quickly tidy a cupboard and came back 21 minutes late for the reply - fantastic customer support Thanks - will be making my mind up very soon about the remaining wagons. Cheers, Ixion.
  23. Although wagons numbers are repeated (all are modelled after all!), are any of the container serial numbers repeated? If so, which ones? I really like these models - having seen a number of the half-height ones, albeit not on wagons... What with the KUA's, with so much model fuel around, I can see I won't need lights or a loft heater to enjoy them over colder months! Thanks, Ixion.
  24. Hi CB Rail, A quick check online for the old part numbers seems to show that they are all new running numbers... as well as new Dapol part numbers. All good for extending your current set without repeating wagons. I think these are the additional ones advertised around the time when the Suez Canal troubles were in the news. Cheers, Ixion.
