  1. Annoyingly that Western is now £152......would have had it at £101
  2. I always used the bods who worked there regardless, of course if somebody was butt ugly I could always find a colleague who looked prettier or just took the piccy at an angle which showed more equipment and less flesh. Our buyers wouldn’t ever buy in pretty people.....we were engineering after all.....every other person had a missing finger or stubble like double cut bastard file
  3. Must admit I have not adjusted the sound but it definitely doesn’t sound as if it’s distorted because it’s too loud, sounds more like a dodgy speaker.
  4. All excited yesterday when my Dapol Streamliner arrived after I pre ordered seemingly years ago! Its a lovely model and I ordered the sound fitted version.....unfortunately I fear there is an issue with either the sound file or the speaker, it sounds like the speaker is being totally overloaded resulting in terrible distortion. I wondered if anyone else received theirs recently and has run it yet with sound and had issues or if theirs is all good?

Probably an early one with the “torque less wonder” Vauxhall’s derived engine........not a highlight in Lotus history
  6. Just need a set of these to go in it......https://www.amazon.co.uk/Noch-15844-Nudists-Landscape-Modelling/dp/B000JJ4BDO/ref=pd_lpo_21_t_1/262-6543301-4351827?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000JJ4BDO&pd_rd_r=42be7eaf-9c08-42af-9e23-10b7b9dee78d&pd_rd_w=JCt7B&pd_rd_wg=6UbZ3&pf_rd_p=7b8e3b03-1439-4489-abd4-4a138cf4eca6&pf_rd_r=VP1420EWDGNCXS7ZEWSE&psc=1&refRID=VP1420EWDGNCXS7ZEWSE

Just like the B52...all wrinkly wing roots on the ground but once up and going it all smooths out......not so sure BRE took a leaf from Boeing’s book though
  8. Your not alone.....early this morning also.
  9. I’ll have to check but we have many user LC on our farmland in Norfolk and not sure I can recall any letters coming regarding their use, recently at least. BTW.....our instructions to the drivers is to tell the signaller where we are, and make sure he repeats the location to us, when your taking a couple of these over the rails you need confidence it is safe to do so, pretty sure all ours are 65 mph lines.
  10. That’s interesting but I cannot find anything in those pages (at least easily) that gives advice/protocol for user operated LC locations.
  11. No one is saying you should, just a little bit of common sense both sides and more communication at the time rather than a flat NO or obstinacy to explain might have helped more.
  12. But it appears an attitude like that from the signaller is exactly what caused the rant by the Farmer in the first place.
  13. Not saying either is wrong, but the Farmer did say he was told to ask the signaller which crossing he is at by the NR installation engineer,, so maybe the engineer was wrong? Either way it needs to get sorted.
  14. Rails have re-released their version now at twice the original price Relax...just kidding
  15. Never.......if they were that worried about IP in a photo like that as a photographer I’d just tell them to lift the staff a bit clear of the ground or rest it in a small stone/rock/block........or take it from an angle that looks correct but couldn’t be used to read the measurement......no.....it’s just sloppy.
  16. That did cross my mind
  17. You obviously didn’t meet the commercially acceptable appearance grade......
  18. Not many experts from back then alive at the present time
